That was our first hotel on our Costa Rican tour. It was pretty nice but our second stop was top of the line, a place called Calla Luna omfg five star.

I loved this old place -- close to everything, friendly service, all the basic conveniences, and two great restaurants... so sad to find out it is closed and will be destroyed to build a brand new hotel. Good bye old friend!

I really hope they do because when i first went there about 10 years ago it was an absolute paradise and i couldn't wait to go back. It can be such an amazing place in an amazing part of the world.

Yep, so sad it has changed through the years as more tourists come. Hopefully they will realize they need to cleanup and protect their natural settings.

I was on Phi Phi in June for our honeymoon. We were so disappointed. There was rubbish all over the beaches. It was terrible. And as for Maya Bay ...... DONT GO!!!!!! ..... its a rip off. There was so much rubbish on the beach and in the water, which included used condoms and lots of broken glass. We will never go back.

I was watching you Alinea video and I noticed "The Manuel Antonio". I was in Costa Rica this past summer and stayed at Bella Vista this same area, near Quepos. I went on the same tour of the park. It was nice seeing a different person's perspective of these same I ran on every morning. The place was an absolute paradise as I'm sure you know. Hopefully you got to do some white water rafting, and all the other cool stuff :P

Very nice video of an absolutely wonderful place. I really do agree with you in that point. In 2007 we have spent a part of our honeymoon in this resort and were lucky enough to get one of the so called healing villas way down. You probably might want to watch my little vid, too. Coming from Germany there was one special thing that really overwhelmed us concerning the Balinese people: The love and dedication for serving the guests.
