Only for secondary data, unit root analysis can be used. It is not used for primary as the data is cross-sectional.

Yes, here you need pre and post situations. It can be of same variable.
"remove from data set" No way! statisticians can not remove the outliers.
To use SPSS, we have to remove the outliers as this software has the limitation, it does not deal abnormal distributed data. Now we have advanced software's where we can entertain outliers as well.
