Silas Pollard, professionally known as Smigg Dirtee, was born on September 11th, 1984, to an African-American father and Guamanian mother. From an early age, he experienced numerous relocations between San Diego and South Sacramento. However, In 2005, he released his debut solo album, "God Made Dirt," which featured acclaimed artists such as The Game, Yukmouth, Hollow Tip, T-Nutty, Mistah Fab, Turf Talk, and others. The album's success led to Smigg's nomination for Best Underground Artist at the B.A.R.S. Awards, further solidifying his position in the rap scene. Throughout his extensive career, Smigg took significant strides, establishing his own label, Teamwork Music, in 2009, and signing a label distribution deal with Empire Distribution in 2012. He has released over 45 projects since 2005, with collaborations featuring notable artists such as Nipsey Hussle, Ginuwine, The Jacka, Mobb Deep, Luni Coleone, Max B, Mya, Keith Murray, AZ, Pastor Troy, Messy Marv, G-Dep & Loon, Haystak, Mitchy Slick, Stevie Joe, Balance, J-Stalin & Beeda Weeda, Layzie Bone, and more.
