NJ Transit 4104 and Chesapeake & Delaware 2006: Toys For Tots Train with 2006 running LHF at Night
On December 8, I chased the Toys For Tots Train along the Dover & Rockaway River Railroad at various locations. This year, Ex-CNJ GP40PH-2 4104 and Chesapeake & Delaware GP38-2 2006 were leading the train. A NJ Transit locomotive had to lead because it has up-to-date PTC (Positive Train Control) in order to lead over NJ Transit lines. The train reversed out of Flanders, NJ before proceeding forward. After 4104 and 2006 ran around their train, 2006 lead back long hood forward. Once they arrived in Kenvil, 2006 uncoupled from 4104 and coupled up to Ex-Norfolk Southern GP38-2 5303 (Operation Lifesaver) which was parked on the Kenvil Team Track.

On December 7, I chased the Toys For Tots Train along the Dover & Raritan River Railroad at various locations. This year, Chesapeake & Delaware GP38-2 2005 was leading the train. On December 1, I chased newly restored Woodstown Central Railroad 0-6-0 9 on the Santa Claus Special trains. This was its second day of pulling excursion trains. On December 27, I saw a few rush hour trains at Ho-Ho-Kus Station including NJ Transit 4208 and Metro-North 4906 double headed with two different angles. As soon as I arrived, Metro-North F40PH-3C 4909 was slowly pushing Train 1276 to Hoboken through the station. 1276 deadheads from Waldwick to Ridgewood. Back in December 2023, I saw the Polar Express with Morristown & Erie GP15-1 24 and GP7u 23 on one end of the train while SW1500 20 was on the other. First I saw 24 and 23 leading the train double-headed. After it passed through the crossing, it stopped and headed back in the same direction it came from. 20 was now leading the train.

On November 30, I saw the Delaware River Railroad Excursions Polar Express train. First I saw Black River & Western GP9 811 leading and SW1500 1596 bringing up the rear. About a half hour later, the train returned with 1596 leading and 811 at the rear.

On December 6, I saw the Railmen For Children Train with NJ Transit GP40PH-2B 4210, the Erie Heritage Unit and GP40PH-2 4101, the NJDOT Heritage Unit double headed on the Main and Port Jervis Lines. Back in September 2020, I saw NJ Transit's TGIV at Mountain Lakes Station along the Montclair-Boonton Line. Look out for the fox crossing in front of the TGIV down the line! Check out the two different angles when the TGIV passes by. During the summer of 2021, I saw GP40PH-2B 4216 pulling a train to Denville and during the summer of 2020, I saw PL42AC 4022 leading a train to Lake Hopatcong.

On October 5, I saw Reading & Northern 4-8-4 2102 on the Fall Foliage Excursion from Jim Thorpe to Reading, PA. I was able to see 2102 twice from two different overhead views in Tamaqua and Hamburg. Back in the spring of this year, I saw NJ Transit F40PH-2CAT 4119 and Metro-North GP40PH-2 4906 double-headed with a three car set. In the first few clips, I saw them pulling a train to Middletown, NY. Check out the two different angles as they pull out of Tuxedo Station. Later that day, I saw them again pushing a deadhead to Hoboken, NJ.
