Hey there! When playing Soto chapter 14 "The war counsil" you unlock an achievement called "Astral Ward Arsenal". Completing this achievement unlocks the weapons. This videos shows two ways to complete the achievement.

The build is not updated for the latest patch. It ramps up slower and does 3-4 K less DPS.

Hey there and welcome to GW2! If you are new to the game I would suggest to stick to the celestial gear and see if you enjoy the build and the style. Then you can invest and get Rampager's trinkets and weapons which will increase your critical chance = more bleeding = more damage.

@@RinWaddlesAround what about for the weapons? I will be using celestial armor and trinkets but unfortunately I don’t have a dagger and pistol that is celestial so what alternatives could I buy for dagger and pistol and what runes should I use with them?

@@TimesConflux999 For weapons you can use Rampager's (power, precision, condition) as mentioned in the guide. At the moment you can buy both for less than 80 silver total in the trade post. Also I always share a link to the build in the description of my videos, so you can look at the stats, traits and items used. In the link the equipment is ascended, but exotic is perfectly fine, because the difference is just about 5% in total.

Hello there! Yes you can use staff, just make sure you have the "Soul Marks" trait in Soul Reaping so you can generate life force with the staff skills. It is explained in more details at 2:57 .

Do you mean the WvW vendor? Note that if you don't have SotO the NPC doesn't sell the items.

You have to do it just one time. After you complete the "Astral Ward Arsenal" achievement (collect all the items) the new weapons will be unlocked for your account and each character will get access to its new weapon.

I am sorry to hear that the rifle did not meet your expectations. I also play mesmer a lot and i think skill 5 could've been something more fun and interesting. I think Anet's concept is every class to have the option to be a dps, boon support and heal + boons. Mesmer didn't have the last one, but with rifle now it has a reliable heal so it fits the role better. I am sure soon we will see a patch to balance the weapons based on player's feedback.

How is doing it via quest pay to win ? Or doing it with currency from wvw ? 😮

Yes the new weapons come with the latest update of SotO, so you need it in order to unlock the achievement.

Perhaps you missed one of the items? Do you have all the items unlocked from the "Astral Ward Arsenal" achievement? As soon as you complete it you should be able to equip the weapons.

Yeah I am not sure why they made it different.

It is not meta, but yes the build can work in fractals too if you spread your shades, because your team mates will be moving more.

You are correct, the precision is slightly overcapped (in berserk mode) with the idea that this is a LI build and it is likely in non-ideal situations players to miss bursts while doing mechanics and etc. As a result they will spend less time in berserk mode and will be easier to gain up adrenaline due to Axe mastery. My initial testing was with air and impact, but concentration is also a very good idea. I will add it to the video description. Thanks!

@@FoulPet It is most of all a personal choice. I also believe it is more convenient. You can pause and read in details without having to rewind. You can also check it on your phone in the subway without need for headphones and boosting the volume high.

Doesn't work for me either. There's apparently no one with this problem on the internet either. I was wondering if placement is the problem, I put it in my legendary staff since that has an infusion slot. I turned both both my animation and post-processing settings to high (as these were the only solution recommendations I could find) (I also tried making other settings high. Nope) Still nothing. The infusion won't show up at all. I even tried placing it in some rings. Idk what I'm doing wrong. @@RinWaddlesAround

Yeah, I hate infusions for that. The game is turning into an eyesore x)

@dylanvolckaert404 Sometimes, it looks like a strip of neon signs with a competition of who can out glow the other. Some subtle effects on characters add flavor, but a lot of people go overboard. My other hang-up is plush mounts. They look ridiculous and rip you out of any immersion aspect of the world.

This would be great idea if depending where the infusion is slotted it changes only this part of the body! Most infusions with visual effects are very difficult to obtain or extremely rare drops and since we don't have a deterministic way to obtain most of them Anet added this one. I think it is cool if you want to role-play as something super energy charged like Dr. Manhattan for example. The more different kinds of infusions we have, the better :)

@RinWaddlesAround I was lucky and picked up a red one during Halloween and 2 yellows that were in an amulet. The yellows looked ok on 2 toons and easily swappable. After seeing the red on YT I decided to sell it. Was only like 27 gp after taxes but I didn't like the way it looked. Honestly, I like a fairly plain look with some minor effects. Sometimes less is more.

Hey there, yes if you want only the weapons this achievement will unlock them all. To do the achievement you will need SOTO. If you want the specializations (the trait lines and utility skills) then you would need EOD too.

Hello and thank you for your comment! Indeed the build is great. The dots duration with summoned shades is close to 79% and bleeding 99% (that is with 1 exotic item). Most players will use full exotic or even mix with rare and that is perfectly fine. You are right, that Ritualist is a good option in few slots to help with the boon duration and have more relaxed gameplay and I've mentioned that at 3:07 in the video :)

Yes the community in GW2 is amazing! I also like the labyrinth, because it offers a little bit of everything...bosses, race, social aspect. There is even a mini jumping puzzle near the north west wp for an achievement! And well done on the annual achievement!

Then it's perfect for you :D Low intensity is for builds that use as few as possible keystrokes per minute.

@@RinWaddlesAround Haha, sharing my thoughts is often what gets me into trouble But i do get annoyed when good creators dont get the comments, likes, subs i feel they deserve (opinion of course) I wouldve subbed too, but apparently i already had Gonna go try this build out soon, i am still new to Guardian, and my first WB kinda fell on its face, ive been favouring DH Im sure it failed due to user-error , but this build looks solid Apologies to anyone who reads this and thinks i came on too strong, i can be a hardass at times, but it comes from a place of love These things matter, to me at least
