Signed up for a National Rental on Priceline, couldn't modify it, couldn't log in, couldn't cancel, called and they said "We can't cancel it." Called priceline, they said they couldn't cancel it. Went online, the confirmation number for both National and Priceline declined and said no such confirmation number. Really? I copied it from your email, National! They charged me $100, down the drain and I got nothing. What an awful company.

Renting a car at DFW is THE WORST. None of the agencies ever have enough cars anymore. I flew into DFW on Tuesday August 20 and there were 30 people in line ahead of me at the Budget desk… and they had been in line THREE HOURS. And it wasn’t just Budget. ALL of the agencies had no cars. NEVER AGAIN. From now on I will use Turo or I will fly into another city in Texas. DFW is the WORST.

How early can you pick up the car as a fastbreak member? lets say i am scheduled to pick up the car at 7 am and i am 1 hour early. Can i pick up one hour early without any additional fees? Thanks

As a AVIS employee at that DFW location. We had so many cars available at about 99.5% of every space for the 1st time in 8 weeks. We barely had any space left to remove the out of service vehicles and low battery charge level electric vehicles. We had to line up most vehicles in one entire row that were not available to rent because they were getting sold. In a week or 2 we will be having spaces to recharge at least 15 electric vehicles at a time.

My wife and I had a reservation yesterday, October 28, 2023 (one-way rental) from Avis Budget at Midway Airport in Chicago. When we arrived to the car rental place, there was already a humongous line at the Avis counter. All other agencies were empty. My wife took a place in the line and I went to the other counters to see if I could get a car. All of them told me they were out of cars. While we were in the line, we started trying to see if any other rental agencies in the whole Chicago area had any cars. We were willing to take Uber to those offices to avoid being in a long line. Any open place was out of cars or were unwilling to do a one-way rental. It is worth noticing that there were only 2 women taking care of the long line. Later on, a guy came in and help a little. An hour or so of waiting and not moving that much, one of the ladies behind the counter announced that a manager was coming to talk to us…and nothing else was said. A woman sitting in a chair waiting for her husband to get the car was the one that broke the news to the few of us in an earshot: they don’t have cars and are waiting for people to return them so they can clean them and put them back in the lot. After an hour and a half or two, the manager finally came to say that they had just received a truck load of cars and that they would be available very soon…but no time frame was given. He used the usual line “I just got here” to avoid answering more pressing questions such as whether we would receive any kind of discounts for the wait. He basically came to say, in a few words…you have to wait…period. By now we had already called my wife’s sister who started driving from South Bend, IN after assisting to a funeral. She and her husband rescued us. We were in that line for 3 hours or more and never reach the counter…not that they had any cars to give once you got your paperwork done. This morning I tried to access the customer complaint section on Avis website. I was just looking for an area to type my complaint, but they make it too time consuming. I decided to call the 800 number. David took my verbal complaint, was very polite and offered me a coupon for a 3-day free rental that expires on Dec of 2024. I am very ok with that…3 hours for 3 days seems fair. I still don’t know what was going on around Chicago yesterday that made impossible to find a rental car…

Didn't see any 6 passenger vehicles? Where there any that you remember? I always curious if I should roll the dice and book Executive aisle with my family of 6.
