Honestly that's not exactly why I'm dissapointed with HR, although I do think HR and MD lore and atmosphere just doesn't compare to DX1, no, what I'm truly dissapointed is how gameplay is just so much better in DX1, it was truly THE immersive sim game while it's sequels just downgraded gameplay. 😢 Also what's interesting is that HR was my childhood game, and while I still felt nostalgia playing it which game me more enjoyment of it, when I played DX1... I actually enjoyed it more AND I somehow experienced feeling similar to *nostalgia I was genuinely surprised and amazed how DX1 really did live up to it's cult classic status, and... It sucks we've yet to see game like DX1, we got some DLC sized fan mods to add their own stories, but while good, none of them truly hit that DX1 itch that may never go away 😢. Sorry, just, man, it sucks 😞 What's bizarre is that MD really did feel like it was trying to improve on it's immersive sims elements, it even finally let you throw potted plants at people, if only MD2 released and it improved on immersive sim elements even further!

Revision actually ended up better after the devs fixed many map changes they put inaide the original maps, so now Revision maps don't stray away from DX1 formula too much(except the Smuggler's Lair, God I hate not being able to enter his lair without activating his bot) Also if you still don't like Revision maps, Revision mod on Steam allows you to customise your experience in options section a lot, including switching to classic maps with improved graphics, or both classic but Deus Ex The Conspiracy soundtrack or you can modify certain gameplay features like making everything strong.

I'm dissapointed this mod never got a continuation, I kinda wish someone remade future Deus Ex games in Deus Ex 1 engine and artstyle because DX1 is still the best one in the series, and porting Invis War or HR into DX1 would greatly benefit those

I remember when this game out before the human revolution leak and everyone thought hr was going to be like this. Playing the leak and watching everyone get excited in real time was interesting.

I appreciate the subtle critique of how later deu sex games hold your hand all throughout the game. It's a shame that there are many people that lack the intellect to appreciate, or even to notice such themes in this secret level. Chapeau Bas, or as the French say "Hats Off".

I always found it funny how this mod basically proved how utterly pointless Human revolution and Mankind Divided were as games. That you could take everything that made those games good and essentially just add it to the superior original game. Really just goes to prove how versatile Deus Ex 1 was as a foundation and I say that as a HDTP and New Vision dev. I've always said how dumb it was that they moved Invisible War to Unreal 2, there was absolutely no reason for it, they had a great codebase with Unreal 1 and it had been ported to other platforms, instead we ended up with a very terrible running game on both PC and Console anyway. The Deus Ex community maintained that foundation for all this time and the results speak for themselves. This mod was basically a protest and satire to the fact that all 3 games were un-necessary and I respect the hell out of the devs for that.
