Where this show failed was that it expected us to buy into Karen ever standing a chance against Ivy. Ivy had the resume and the talent, Karen may have been cast as an understudy or swing but she NEVER would have gotten the role over Ivy.

2019 and I remember when this show aired and when I heard this song, I memorized it from playing it a million times to the point that I sing in randomly from time to time, tonight I played it for the first time in a few years and when I hear it brings me back to the first time I heard it, I was 16-17 years old in high school. I cried the first time I heard/saw this song in Smash.
