I created this video during my freshman year in my Foundations in Video Journalism class! It profiles Dr. Myrna García, the Faculty-In-Residence at Allison Hall, who organizes events for students living in the South Area of campus. Faculty-In-Residences are professors who live in apartments in some of the dorms on campus!
Events like the Breakfast Club provide a safe space and help build student community. I enjoyed talking with Dr. García about her experience as a Faculty-In-Residence and how the role has shaped her relationships with students and her day-to-day life at Northwestern.
