    To reduce vibrations, you can use a phone app that graphs gyroscopic data. Place your phone and the lamp on the same surface, and you’ll be able to see how much adjustment is needed to make it run smoothly.

    The whole battery/power situation.. I did a volumetric display ages ago (that has since died) with a motor driving the display at the bottom end of the axis, connected to the other end with a bracket like you'd see on a globe. On the top end I mounted a smaller dc motor fixed to said bracket by the shaft, so that it could generate power for the *duino circuit and leds.

    • @NickElectronics
      @NickElectronics 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I just couldn't, because with this lens optics, I would only have a small spot on the wall. To make it work with real optics, I had to use a short focal-length lens that somewhat disperses the light. Then it would have worked, but such lenses are very short in height. So electronics would not fit :(

    If you added LEDs to the back would it potentially double the "resolution" if you coded the lights for different shapes or images?

    • @NickElectronics
      @NickElectronics 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends how to put them. If they will be located at the gaps corresponding to other side - then yes. But it is probably easier to put all LEDs at one side and resistors to other and just solder them more compact. Or remove resistors at all and use some current controllers for LEDs.

    Green PCBs are acceptable. Black PCBs are evil, because you can’t follow the damn traces when you want to reverse engineer them, especially if it’s matte black. Yellow PCBs are where it’s at, the copper colour beneath the solder mask looks golden, and it’s very easy to follow the traces.

    Very cool project, I may have to make my own. LED filaments are becoming what EL wire couldn’t be. Though I have some doubts about the safety of the power supply considering the thin flexible layer on the underside.

    • @NickElectronics
