I think Pudding played 1 Harmony, 1 Tiger Form Incantation, 1 Wind Chakra in his PT/Calling lists and I didn't know why he did the split initially, so I just picked the blue with the best numbers for me. After playing the deck a little more, I realized it's likely that you do not want to see 2 Wind Chakra in the same hand, so I think whichever blue you want to play is fine. It did not make much of a difference for me in my games, but Wind Chakra was a good starter that didn't require the pitch.

I think if Ornate Tessen was free, it'd be much better. Otherwise, the benefit of Needle really shines in the late game when you can grab 2 cards out of your opp's hand under "Kodachi lock" and then the following turn you'll hopefully have extra cards to finish them altogether.

@@fyendal I've run into a lot of Zen over the past week or so on talishar and it's got new very close to picking the deck up myself... His current iteration is exactly what I hoped for when he released!

I think LSS did right with the bans, Zen definitely wasn't supposed to enable Bonds so easily. I did feel like I missed AoW a good amount, but I'd love to try to convert the Tigers more maybe playing with Roar of the Tiger or even Salt the Wound. I had a good amount of 7-8 wide chains that didn't present much on-hits, so people weren't fully blocking them out.

That is awesome. Moon Shot is very fun. I think Maxx will enjoy the new mech card from Part the Mistveil as well. 😉

I think the game is switching over to a best of one format similar to other Bandai games, so the deck construction will have to change entirely.

@@DBZSeanzie I’m not 100% sure, but I think that is likely the reason. I remember rounds going to time frequently as some games can go long when you’re utilizing a slower strategy like the White-based control decks.

Both players are blocking minimally to not at all and just presenting their damage. Usually in aggro mirrors, whoever has to block first is at a pretty big disadvantage.

When we first started, it felt a lot easier to play midrange and build a big board to win. I think aggro is much stronger the more you play and know what to play around!

@@fyendal we just started playing like this month and aggro just seems like the way to go. I want to play white stall and play the long game, but it feels like I’m gonna crash and burn. Friends are playing green, aggro white, purple, and red. Green is bananas

Just the Maxx ability! In the matchups where you want to use Nitro Mech, you should have opportunity to pitch stack 2 High Octanes together for late game one shot while slowly setting up the Hyper Drivers. I would say not cranking your first Hyper Driver is important, but are-Charge and boosting into a Big Bertha/Crankshaft can be all you need to set up the third Hyper Driver.

It’s because Nitro Mechanoid requires your helmet type to be Mechanologist and I believe Hyper X3 is the only helmet piece with Battleworn that can block.

It’s so affordable right now! The gameplay is pretty great and the tournament prizing is awesome. Love the game.

Against purple, Counter Sword triggers easily as you already know. The main usage of Counter Sword is for tempo play. In the Curse Dragon example, there are times where purple does not have enough cores and they will need to play a Curse Dragon to clear all of the low core spirits and then you can Counter Sword for free and then proceed to refill the board and go for lethal. If your purple opponent is greedy, it's also possible to return a Meduke to the top of the deck if they happen to play another ETB spirit. In the end, this yellow deck is more aggressively slanted which plays well with the tempo you get from Counter Sword. Keeping spirits (reduction) off the board vs purple is very strong.

I have a subscription with them, so I'll be getting quite a few apparently. I think you get one promo per box you order with them, so the market will definitely be oversaturated with them. Don't worry about it and just wait for the prices to go down. I think stuff like Peace of Mind and Sand Cover promos that people want 2-3 of went for around $25-30 for a long time. The Iris should be much lower, I wouldn't be surprised if it was only $10-15!

Actually I love DtD art for the light cards so much that I want to collect them too, MON did not catch me that much in comparison

@@fabledacademy Hahaha, the art for DtD feels completely different than Monarch. It feels a lot more intricate and detailed, while also having a dark and ominous feel to them. Love what they did with the alt-art version of the light illusionist chest for example.

Buckle replaced Imposing Visage in this list as it is something to help you out in a Lexi heavy meta.

@@zachbabcock6550 imposing visage searches for Show Time! from the deck and then you can search for Pulverize and heave it! Very effective first turn, but very risky as well because you are pretty locked into taking damage next turn to resolve it or hoping you top deck a blue if you do block.

How much you attack with your weapon is matchup dependent, but in general, Tear Asunder is much more powerful with Anothos than Titan’s Fist. Rampart is also not ideal in Bravo because he cannot effectively use resources on the opponent’s turn, which is why Buckler was better. Lantern is also quite bad because Bravo does not have good leg equipment, so Nullrune Boots suffice mostly for Runeblade. Even with Ab4-5, your matchup vs Kano does not improve enough to make it worth it. In general, your health will be higher than Kano and thus Arcanite will pretty much never be turned on until you’re taking 15+ from the Blazing Aether follow up.

Yeah, pretty much the big tournaments are all cash prizing + promos.

I think it's possible that Jaguard could be good over Dirm Dynas in main. It does cost a bit, but could potentially help you in aggro mirrors when they try to flood 1 drops to block you. Axebiter might be the safer card to main though.

@@digislots862 I want to try something like: -1 Suppression, -3 Dyna +3 Axebiter, +1 Jaguard (or 2-2) -2 Norn, +2 Counter Sword -1 Ice Shield, +1 Elk (a bit counter-productive, but we have 3 Suppression, 2 Ice Shield, 3 Elk after this)

I ran razor reflex until I got my e strikes. Makes Snatch function almost like an e strike with all 3 modes active and it helps sneak on-hits through. Uprising is bad by comparison but it can substitute for art of war until you get them, but it is a pretty necessary card in fai.

I would prioritize Art of Wars asap. That card might get more pricy with how shadow Runeblades traditionally worked in Monarch, so the new set might make it go up. It doesn’t really have substitutes, but you can try Head Leads Tails as another buff effect naming something like Phoenix Flame for example. It’ll be a step down from Spreading Flames, but Art of War is your main threat. For EStrike, it’s funny enough just a filler card in this deck right now that is the most versatile card for the meta. It helps you hedge vs guardians mostly. I think you can try Ride the Tailwind or Ravenous Rabble as another aggressive option that’ll make your deck more consistent, but you will be weaker vs guardian. I think I mentioned in the video, but EStrike is pretty bad on your Art of War turns, so you can just try to be more aggressive.

All right, I don't know if this is optimal, but this is where I'd start with Fai if I were to play him in Blitz: fabrary.net/decks/01H0TQH0ECE7YPTF26Q2ZG7326 I think Blossom of Springs > Belittle > Art of War is the strongest "6 card hand" for a while and Belittle isn't banned in Blitz apparently. The main strategy is to just find Belittle + Art of War/Spreading Flames and combo. You can even go for the combo turn 1 because Blossom of Springs doesn't need to wait for counters. I've also added the Mask of Many Faces + Phoenix Form combo in here for extra fun. If you don't want to go for that, you can swap out 2x Phoenix Form for 2x Ravenous Rabble (red) and cut Mask of Many Faces for something else. Hope you like it!

@@aerfrancisco5992 I believe the only important pricy card for the Blitz deck is 2x Art of War. Get those first and your combo of Blossom of Spring -> Belittle -> pitch Minnowism to Art of War -> Lynx should deal 30+ damage. Shuko can be your next upgrade if you want to up your win percentages further with this deck. Then, can get Furnace first if you enjoy playing Fai in general and want to play Fai in CC, or Mask of Momentum if you want to play more Ninjas. I personally am not a big fan of MoM in Fai because I think he’s a very synergistic deck and you want to overwhelm your opponent quickly especially in Blitz. Still, Kodachi Fai is probably fine. If you like Kodachi, I’d recommend Ira over Fai in Blitz. She can also use Shuko too.

@@aerfrancisco5992 Mask of Many Faces is neat for Phoenix Form! Otherwise, cut 2x Phoenix Form for Momentum and cut a Phoenix Flame. The Mischevious Meeps card is an interesting card to try.

What type of content are you looking for?

@@fyendal idk on a specific color or color combo but it kinda feels like there is so much unexplored space and depth in deck building and on that note no one has really made a video on how to even ideally deck build in this game to me knowledge me and a friend kinda just went of the starter deck ratios as a base but no one is really talking about deck building like spirit, magic, nexus ratios. Ps I apologize for the word dump I really do enjoy your coverage of the game

@@BeoTCG No worries! Honestly, Spencer mentioned it in the video, but we feel like there’s a lot of exploration for deck building still. I feel like we still do not know what an “ideal” base is yet, and even when we do, we would want to push those boundaries to innovate. :) We originally started off believing nexuses weren’t very good and we still slowly go back and forth on it for example. I think the game may need a couple more expansions before we truly unlock what proper deck building should look like, so don’t sweat the small stuff. I’ll see what we can do about making content for other decks and colors, but I mostly showcase our decks we perform with, so our theory and reasoning has some results to back them up.
