yeah. No clutch though - I drive irl with a clutch but never worked it out for racing games :)

@@orangepeel9262 I drive with "flappy paddle". So, you put your gear in reverse when you start the race to get the "From the back"

Yeah but it doesn't work on controller or using the flappy paddles - the game either misses the shift or double shifts. I have a H pattern shifter too so I just put that in reverse if I'm not on the back row, press the throttle then quickly put it in first then switch to the flappy paddle for the rest of the race. I used to just pull over to the side but would occasionally get hit by AWD drag metas :)

If you mean NICO R6 83, yeah that is an asshole. Iirc they carried this into the next race and got themselves reported.

Ah right. I don't recall them tbh. Although re-watching, they do appear to get tangled up with someone else which made for a nice pass for me. They also seem to have ragequit mid race from a scoring position so either mum told them to clean tidy up their bedrooms or not winning a co-op race is an unacceptable disgrace for them. :)

@@orangepeel9262 a friend of mine and I had a race with him (and another rammer), which ended up with him being nominated as Dick of The Year. Especially after he started to send me messages.

? I don't think so. Why do you ask? If they where a cheater, they're not a very effective one tbh - Their lap times where hella slow. If you mean the slowdown thing... think that might have been my xbox or lag - another player went awol too ahead of me. Was weird though. Hasn't happened since.

Yeah that player played a bit elbows out but they aren't why I ghosted and face planted the wall. My wheel is a bit broken and sometimes triggers the menu whenever steering gets a bit vigorous:(

Yeah that was a bad one. Just bounced around like a pinball :) Not much you can do tbh. Kinda gutted the demo didn't save as I wanted to report the idiot that took me out in T1 - sadly from the clip itself, enforcement didn't accept my analysis. Demo would definitely have cleared that up.

Yup. Enforcement thought so too. I put my report in the description once I've received a reply and only put their reply on if they don't think it's bannable. So if there's nothing from them, the douche saw a warning or ban.

@@orangepeel9262 just watched them now. you got skills buddy, lots of practice and keep trying to go faster :) i recommend watching the replays in rivals and see how people drive differently

Thank you. To be honest I get about 5 laps in rivals then start getting bored :( it's not something I've ever had much joy with. But it's great advice nonetheless, thank you. It's also great for learning tracks! I do need to do some Nordschleife as I get off the GP circuit and get promptly lost :)

@@orangepeel9262 ah the nordschleife is my home, it where i got my skills haha ive probably used weeks of my life driving that track on f7! but i very rarely make a mistake around there, very rarely get beaten too, i love it so much

@@SUBOPTIMALz This is one I'll be avoiding online till I can get some rivals practice on it. It'll be a nightmare to learn without the racing line. I'll be able to drive it but I'll be soooooooo slow. There are a fair few braking zones to remember! :) I tried it once on an alt (with racing line) and didn't even manage to break 8 minutes - although I did do hard - hard which I think might be slower than med - med - med

Thank you. Tbh I think the supercharger was a step too far in that wee thing. It was an absolute handful to drive. Messed up the suspension too, was bouncing all over the place and with all the power it would get a bit unpredictable

Was it road tuned and you didn't notice or was it stock? I find you must tune for wilds and cc at least to stand a chance but I've selected a road car for dirt races many a time - usually on the rally adventure dlc races.

Hi, thanks for watching. I do vaguely remember a couple of folk chatting in practice but I don't remember who exactly, Krissy might have been one of them. It wasn't anything toxic though, just seemed to be friendly chat. If they said anything to me in the race, it went unheard as my headphones let me mix out voice chat. You can report the racist voice chat but I'm not sure how - especially on PC. I also think you have to do it pretty quickly too. I'm on xbox 👍

So the first thing you need is an external USB3 drive. You will have to format it as NTFS on a Windows PC before you plug it in to the Xbox. It should then ask if you want to use it for storage of media (don't think it mentions captures at this point). I use an 128GB SSD from a laptop in a caddy (the caddy lights up when plugged in so I can see if it's actually recording) but I've also used a 128GB thumb drive. As long as it's USB3, I don't think Xbox cares so much about the size for captures. Next up you need to go into your capture setting on XBox and set the USB3 drive as the destination for your captures. You'll also want to set the resolution and tweak the other settings as you see fit. Note about the length of the recordings - that's only talking about the "Record what just happened" clips. If you record with "start/stop recording" you can do up to 1 hour. I also recommend you reconfigure the share button on the controller to make it easier. I have mine set as: - Tap - Start/Stop Recording Long Press - Record what just happened. Double Tap - Screenshot Think that covers it all. I just got into the habit of tapping the share button at the start and end of races - first few times I did forget but you get used to it eventually if you keep using the system. To get the captures off the drive you need to take it to a PC for uploading/trimming or whatever it is you want to do with them.

I like that you include a roster with your races that is a good idea. Do you post just about every race or only the more exciting ones? Thanks again for the above. Yeah, not sure I'd have taken the position but we all make our choices. At least I know I don't have to return it with this player going forward ;) I've watched quite a few of your GT races and tbh I don't know how you can stand it. It seems to be a truism in all racing games where the faster the cars, the rougher the racing. My guess is it's the higher speeds, less time to react so more mistakes happen. I've had half a GT practice session, got bounced around and was like "nope". Never been back.
