And i have this weird suspicion that Tabitha is pregnant but no one i mentioned this too is biting. they just keep saying she is emotional and they hate her saying no no no no. Or that she and Jim didnt get it on. But Jim massaged her neck in the hole she was digging and they seemed to get close. So i had this dumb thought that if Tabitha were pregnant and related to Miranda somehow or her mom maybe thats how she was able to transport.

Gotta be honest didnt watch the full video but wanted to hear you out. I watched up 10:48 mark. While do disagree with with point being with Junpie and and Chioder (Probably butchered their names.) But you do make valid points over all on a personal level I dont think reload is a master piece as well but for different reasons. That being it sad people cant take criticism of their favorite things.

ok i know i commented already haha, but i wanted to say that p3 is a slower-paced story than the other games. p4 and p5 followed arcs that led into an overarching narrative. the story of p3 is entirely about the overarching plot and how it develops rather than arcs. it's all about developing intrigue (like with old documents a lot for me) and building things up, giving questions to be answered later on. it plants the seeds that slowly grow into a huge tree. I also like to mention that p3 itself helms from a time when slower narratives were more commonplace. I think reload not tinkering some of that for a modern audience, who are possibly used to faster paced plots, was a bit of a misstep imo a comparison i often like to make it with the pre-gen 5 pokemon games, where the stories were always non-intrusive. p3 walks a line where it gives u time to get to grips with its mechanics and gameplay, and once ur more used to it, the story picks up again. it's important to remember this was the 1st game in the series to have social links, so the average JRPG fan of the time would want to get used to this new and unique gameplay loop. overall, I see it as a slow build-up that builds intrigue, also giving new players time to get used to the gameplay, while picking things up again and answering those question as they play with crazy strong moments later. the impact of the 2nd half feels as heavy as it does bc it's such a contrast, throwing the now-familiar player for a loop by defying their expectations. not sure if I worded most of this well or did my point justice, but I hope it made sense and explained what I love about the story and structure of the original p3. still think they should've made some pacing changes in reload if the target audience was new players, but I digress. tysm for reading this stupid long comment lol, hope whoever u are reading this has a good day/night :)

I watched the whole video and, while I did disagree especially being a big p3 fan, I think some of ur points are entirely valid and that it's understandable how some aspects I love weren't as well-liked by others. I think it opened my eyes up a little, even if some other points (like the Junpei being horny one) admittedly aggravated me a bit lol. still, I understand! theres not a single bad take honestly, anyone can say they like persona 3 and 4 but doesnt like 5 or say they dont like persona 4 and like 3 reload and 5, i honestly like the three of them and i would prefer playing reload than fes and portable why did i write so long who is gonna read this

Unpopular opinion but PS5 was a 10, 4 was a 9.5 and 3 reload was an 8.5 tops, Social link suck, characters are meh half the time, story is good at times and meh at other and the gameplay is quite literally if You were playing PS5 and the only thing to do was Mementos the fact anyone thinks it's better than the other 2 is either nostalgia or recency bias to the max

After all this, I can't blame Sarah for trying to kill Ethan bc she clearly had no choice. I feel like letting Boyd live while watching Kenny moms get picked apart will awaken something with Boyd but will have the town on edge bc how and why would they have let Boyd live? Whose going to believe him? The look on Jades face said it all.

everything is real in this review, when i went from persona 5 to this game it was a cold shower and i forced myself to finish. The main story and side stories are uninteresting.

Just finished the game yesterday and had pretty much the same impression as you. There were things I liked about the game, such as the design and color palette, the down to earth characters, the way the game gives you freedom to do your own thing pretty early on, the ease of getting skill cards and building up your personas, etc. Also, as a fan of the SMT universe, it was fun to see how older games were designed compared to the newer ones. Overall, though, I found it rather dull and by the end was glad to finish it. And when I saw that the DLC was coming out, I had no interest. It’s funny, though, after that slog I restarted a NG+ playthrough of P5R and was immediately on the edge of my seat, having a blast. They really have mastered the art of adding momentum and complexity of systems to their games by the time we get to the 5th gen Persona/ShinMegamiTensei. It makes me rather excited to try out Metaphor: ReFantazio.

Whiel Takaya isn't an amazing villain, I feel you don't entirely grasp his motives, so I'll explain them the best I can: Takaya, along with his fellow Strega members, was a victim of unethical experimentation by the Kirijo Group that involved exposure to Shadows. These experiments granted him the ability to summon a Persona without the use of an Evoker, but at the cost of a drastically shortened lifespan. As a result, he harbors deep hatred toward the Kirijo Group, which he blames for his suffering. This resentment plays a central role in his actions, as he seeks to undermine or oppose anything related to the Kirijo Group and their goals. Takaya embraces a nihilistic view of the world, believing that life is meaningless and that humanity is doomed. He sees no purpose in resisting death or attempting to improve society. This philosophy is central to his desire to bring about The Fall-the end of the world. Takaya believes that humanity should accept death as the ultimate fate, and he actively works toward hastening this outcome. Takaya's ultimate goal is to bring about The Fall once he learns of it, which is the destruction of the world at the hands of Nyx, the goddess of death. Unlike SEES, Takaya actively encourages the collapse of humanity. He believes that The Fall is the natural and inevitable conclusion for humanity and that resisting it is futile. His fanatical desire for the end of the world stems from his deeply ingrained belief that life is suffering, and the only escape is death. Takaya is not just nihilistic but seems to glorify death itself. He treats death as an inevitable and even desirable outcome, often speaking in poetic terms about it. His shortened lifespan due to the Kirijo experiments may have contributed to his fixation on death, leading him to seek a sense of control over his fate by embracing it fully. This obsession also manifests in his interactions with SEES, as he mocks their attempts to prevent death and fights against their efforts to stop The Fall. Takaya views Nyx, the entity that will bring about The Fall, as a form of personal salvation. He sees Nyx as the ultimate release from the suffering of life and is eager to embrace death when she arrives.

Naw 5 is the most overrated... People that had never played a persona game love persona but vets like myself easily see it's the second worst persona game...vs 3 being the best.

holy bro, brace yourself for hate incoming since Reload suckers are insane about its remake with all the blind worship. There's also a great analysis made by Nam’s Compendium "How P3RE lost its identity", which covers significant drastic changes between games made by its original creators - Hoshino, Meguro and Soejima - and a new P-team, and how remake loses its core point through changing script, scenes, visual and aesthethic tone. As for P3RE, people are always tend to see with superficial views, enticed by attractive picture and easy to grasp QOL, while totally ignoring what is inside and how it was preserved from original authors.

You're going to get wrecked for this, even though I agree. P3 has a strong nostalgia factor (even for me), and many people think because death is a theme, it's super edgy/mature and that makes it better than 4/5, which were lighter (although P5 could get quite dark). P3 has god awful pacing, has a mid story with awkward exposition dumps, handles its themes with the subtlety of a jackhammer, and has few characters that develop significantly and have limited interactions with each other. For the majority of the game, you have no idea what you're doing besides climbing a random tower that conveniently pops out of school. It's actually absurd. I like the game (and Junpei remains one of my favorite Persona characters of all time), but P4 and P5 both improve upon the formula greatly.

I think that P3P's femc route fixes the "emptiness" of the first half (or rather third) of the game. Your SL's are actually party members unlike with the male character, in P3R they fixed it a bit with Linked Missions or whatever they're called, but it's still far from the femc Social Links. I think that this game just tries to tell a story differently, from what i know the social link system was pretty new so they tried to tell a more character focused story through that, which in the femc route they did because they replaced all the disliked and boring Social Links with very good ones, to the point where it's the game with best Social Links in the series by far with very few misses. P5 has a more cohesive story, but I still preffer the P3 just because you feel like there are consequences (people actually die). P5 is pretty generic for the most part, the game until Kaneshiro is probably the best Persona has to offer, interesting story and villains, interesting palaces, etc., after that it's just a nosedive, it really is sad. The story manages to just murder character of Ryuji, Morgana is just awful and annoying, Yusuke is just a too much of a weirdo for no reason, Ann doesn't contribute to the team at all, Makoto does like 80% of the job for Phantom Thieves after forcing herself there, Haru is sweet but again, dissapears into the background, Futaba is just annoying. And most of their confidants are trash as well. The P3 cast is far better in my opinion, there are tensions within the group, mostly between Takeba and Mitsuru, but also from Junpei being jealous of you. SEES aren't friends, the game makes that obvious, they only become friends as the story progresses which I really like. They all feel like people, each with their own agenda or goal, with some questioning should they even continue fighting the shadows. Also they're far more interesting than the P5 or even P4 cast, P5 cast just feels like a bunch of tropes sprinkled with a tad of originality. It's not like I hate Persona 5, my frustrations come from the fact that most of the characters and story have potential but it's just ruined and lazy towards the end, Maruki ark did fix some thing but still, it continues on even to Persona 5 Strikers. For tartarus i agree, that part is a slog, no matter which game you take, Persona 5 did it best by far with palaces and its a no contest. However Persona 5 is also the easiest game in the series, people who get into other Persona games struggle, I did too. But you learn to appreciate it becuase it makes you more prepared and always thinking ahead. There is still bs happening in P3 and P4 (the difference in hit rates between enemy insta kill spells and yours, random crits which just kill the protag, your whole party being under ailment at the same time, etc.), which is unfortunate but I still preffer the harder difficulty. Social Links in P3R are pretty hit or miss, most of them are okay... with some great ones and bad ones sprinkled in. As I stated, P3P does them far better, removing the disliked ones and putting in new ones while keeping the best in the game, it's just leagues better. P4 is the most consistent, but also most consistently mid, again with potentially great ones but they ruin it or just don't use the potential and it's just "a girl tries to learn how to cook part 5.". P5 is also a mixed bag, but mostly consistent, P5 however fails in the Phantom Thieves department as most of the main cast confidants are just lame. I highly recommend P3P and the female route, it gives you a perspective o how great P3 could have been, especially in the SL department. The setup is a headache however, you'll need a PSP emulator, Persona mod manager and a upscaling mod... it's a process...

They watered down reload A lot persona 3 reload has horrible gameplay compared to Portable And persona 4-5 they should of kept stuff like switching weapons if we’re suppose to rep him why the fuck did they remove that? What if I wanted him to be a boxer instead of a swordsman. Not to mention the game should of Kept statues like sick tired good great and not have been finishing it 1 day before the full moon boss

I think I would have liked this game more if the fans hadn't constantly be claiming it had the best story. I went in fully expecting the best story. The game was alright, but as you say the story is mostly absent until the end. Strega could have been interesting but by the end they just seemed like babbling idiots. Months would go by where nothing interesting would happen. Dunno man. P3 fans are the most passionate I guess. I played P4G first, then P3, then P5 last. Then P5R and P3R. It felt more like a SMT game than Persona to me.

The reason Chidori pushes Junpei away is because she started to love him and she is scared of that feeling that because her love for him and his love for her would actually give her a reason to live. Which is a problem because at that point the team had unknowingly already started the fall.

With 67% of you guys not watching anymore after 39 seconds (and only 10% watching the whole thing), I think you really need to actually watch the video before hate commenting and disliking. Yes, there are going to be some comparisons to the other game in the series that I played, but this isn't just comparing the games. And if you actually watched the video, you'd see that I DON'T hate this game and think it's actually a decent game, I just don't see this game being a 9/10 or 10/10 in any world.

Maybe overrated but it’s still pretty great

Comparing P3 to P4 and P5 will get us nowhere. All these games are very different despite being very similar to the core. The themes of P3 and what it teaches us is just unmatched by the following games. Sure it isn’t made for everyone; if you want to have a happy time then maybe P4 is up ur alley or if you want a stylistic approach to a JRPG along with the best vibes then P5 it is. But the point of playing new games is to experience something out of our own play-zone and I think I’m pretty satisfied after playing this game despite its flaws.

Definitely room to criticize the game, but your explanations just seem like you weren't all that interested in the first place. Like with Chidori and Junpei for example. You severely over simplified their arc with each other. "I get that she's an orhan and had a crappy life, but it just feels weird" You didn't think on that relationship for more than 2 seconds. lol She's not just an orphan, but a human experiment. She's been tortured for most of her child life before Strega. She pushed Junpei away because she knows where she'll be in two years. Which is not alive. She enjoys Junpei's attention and when he couldn't visit her it scared her. It made her think how he'll feel when she's not around. Which is a new feeling to her in general. Also Junpei never showed that he was horny over her. Every other girl he jokes around about being horny, but he genuinely cared about Chidori. His dream was to be a baseball player, but just assumed it was a pipedream and he's only a second year, he's still got time. I think the main problem is that you as a player don't get to see the ins and outs of everyone's lives at all times. You have to infer some things. Tho I do think the game could benefit from expanding on things like that, but you already said you were bored of daily life in the first 40 hours, so I don't know.

I played P5, P5R, and P4G before I played Reload. I assumed that I was going to enjoy P3, because I already liked the setup and game style that I had adapted to. But I just gave up playing. As much as I wanted to continue, the underwhelming early story and whiplash rate and reasoning for a characters existence made it to where I only got to late June before I felt like looking at the icon to launch the game was a chore. Maybe I need to get to the back half of the game, but I just didn't feel the compulsion to continue the game like I did with P4G or P5/R. I felt like the characters I met were exhausting to deal with, the premise of Tartarus was underwhelming, and the pre-established team that you join just didn't really click with me. Worst of all, the social links that I was delving into have mostly felt shallow, obviously there are more that I haven't gotten to, but it just feels like it doesn't have the grip that I want it to early. I might give it another chance again in the future, but I'm not sure, I've tried to pull myself through games before and it usually isn't an enjoyable experience.
