It looks like that while cooking because it was a stuffed crust. I didn’t do the setting correct but was able to adjust it near the end to fix it. User error.
I'm sure that silly gadget just eats electricity, too.
Electricity isn’t what it save. You save on time due to no need to preheat the oven and you avoid warming up your kitchen. It also can keep your pizza warm as you eat a slice.

Yes, you can do frozen or fresh stuff. I’ve done both frozen and fresh wings/pizza. Makes great hot pockets, corn dogs, fries.

There is no benefit of this over an oven. It actually uses more energy and takes longer because it’s an open vent
