The conference titled ‘The Interpretation of the Rule of Law in Central Europe in Light of theSupranational Concept of the Rule of Law’ organized on 12-13 October 2023 aims to bringtogether the members of the Central European Professors’ Network Research Group on theSupranational Interpretation of the Rule of Law, operating under the coordination of Dr. JánosBóka under the aegis of the Central European Academy. The research group reflects on theprocess of the supranationalization of the concept of the rule of law by supranationalinstitutions that is particularly relevant and topical for Central European states, as theyconstructively participate in the European constitutional dialogue. The present conferencefocuses on the domestic interpretation of the rule of law in Central European countries - with aparticular focus on the jurisprudence of constitutional and supreme courts -, and summarizesthe conclusions of the members of the research group in connection with the interpretation ofthe rule of law in domestic laws. The conference also provides a platform to present theposition of Central European courts in the European constitutional dialogue.
