How can I prepare to stand up for my veganism at Thanksgiving?
Vegan Pastor Frank tells us vegans that we should prepare for our Thanksgiving dinners silently and with love. Pastor Frank recommends cooking and bringing a delicious vegan dish, with plenty for not only yourself to enjoy, but enough to share with all the guests. The goal should be to set an example for others that shows veganism is easy, humble, and delicious!

Fridays with Frank - March 17th 2023 Why doesn't God want us to eat meat? Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman discusses the biblical stories reflecting God’s intention that humans eat a plant-based diet free from animals. His heavenly intent is clear in that we should all strive to live in a way that causes no pain, suffering, or death on Earth. The Bible confirms that to kill and eat God’s own creature...

Stump the Pastor-June 17th 2023 When something is wrong, is it God’s fault? Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman reminds that God’s love is always perfect and humans are the imperfect ones. God has perfect unconditional love for the whole of His creation. Much of the Bible is written from the perspective of a corrupt and indifferent world created by humans and that’s what God sent Jesus came to save us f...

มุมมอง 22 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Stump the Pastor - September 16th 2023 Why does the Bible talk about clean and unclean if we are supposed to be vegan? Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman reminds us that the Bible was written by imperfect humans, not God. These original writers of the Bible, specifically priests who were coming back from Babylon after 70 years of exile, learned a lot of cruel customs related to both animal and human sa...

Stump the Pastor - September 23rd 2023 How can I defend the need for future veganism on Earth? Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman tells us that we should reframe our mindset here, because we need not “defend” the future of veganism-we only need to live it. To live in God’s heavenly will and prevent the pain, suffering, and death of animals, we merely need to live our lives in a way that does not exploi...
Stump the Pastor - Did God make animals sinless or do they sin too?
2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
Stump the Pastor - October 7th 2023 Did God make animals sinless or do they sin too? Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman answers both these questions affirmatively. God created all the animals sinless, but like humans, they also have free will that allows them to sin, like the serpent. Animals are believed to be more connected to the spiritual realm than humans and for that reason, animals rarely sin wi...
Stump the Pastor - Why does the temptation of Jesus mention wild animals?

Stump the Pastor- December 2nd 2023 Why does the temptation of Jesus mention wild animals? Mark 1:13 says “and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.” Vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman admits that this passage could have many interpretations, but he thinks Jesus found peace in the wilderness being surrounded by God’s fellow c...
Stump the Pastor - Why Doesn't Scripture Talk More About The Nativity Animals?

Stump the Pastor- December 23rd 2023 Why Doesn’t Scripture Talk More About the Nativity Animals? Vegan Pastor Frank reminds us that the Bible has been transcribed multiple times by humans over the course of thousands of years. Because humans are imperfect, and many are unwilling to admit their hardness of heart against animals, it is likely that the human transcribers inserted their own cultura...

Stump the Pastor - November 9th 2024 I feel anxious all the time about what is happening in the world, what do I do? This week, vegan Pastor Frank Hoffman reminds us that fear is the opposite of God’s love. When we are experiencing feelings of fear and anxiousness, we are ignoring God’s heavenly will, even if we aren’t intending to do so. When we put our full trust in the Lord, He will bring pe...

It was lovely speaking with you, Mariquita! Thanks for having me on the show and for everything you do for animals.
Reverend Carol Saunders was my sister's inspiration to do her Theological Doctorate in South Africa on Animal Assisted therapy. She will get her doctors degree end of this year under the college "Therapeia Therapy College"
Thank you, Pastor. As someone with a chronic anxiety condition I know that I need to turn to God more (perhaps even more so this last week)
Thank you so much. You are so awesome Pastor Frank
Ugh, where do I even start with this video? Its like watching a train wreck in slow motion. This person is talking about how they used to be unhealthy because thats what they were told, but now theyre vegan and loving it. Yeah, sure, whatever. But let me tell you, its not just about the food. Its about the mindset, the values, the compassion. When we choose a plant-based lifestyle, were not just choosing to eat differently, were choosing to prioritize the well-being of all sentient beings on this planet. Were choosing to stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized and oppressed. And let me tell you, its not easy. It takes courage, conviction, and commitment. But when we do it, oh man, its like a whole new world opens up. We start to see the interconnectedness of all things, the beauty of the natural world, the power of our own inner voice. And thats what this video is missing. Its just a superficial conversation about food choices without any depth or context. Its like theyre trying to sell us on a diet instead of sharing their authentic experience as a vegan activist. I mean, come on, people! Lets get real here. If were going to make a difference in the world, we need to do more than just change our diets. We need to challenge the status quo, question the norms, and demand more from ourselves and each other. So, yeah, Im done with this video. Its not doing it for me. But hey, if youre still watching, go ahead and check out some of the resources they mentioned at the end. Maybe itll inspire you to take action and make a positive impact in your own life and in the world around you.
Thanks for your feedback. I appreciate your honesty about how it struck you. If all you heard from this conversation was that it was about diet, I think you missed a big part of it, or perhaps "tuned out" early on. While changing what we eat is a central reality to living as a vegan, for me, being vegan is about all the things you expressed very eloquently: "Its about the mindset, the values, the compassion. When we choose a plant-based lifestyle, we're not just choosing to eat differently, we're choosing to prioritize the well-being of all sentient beings on this planet. We're choosing to stand in solidarity with those who are marginalized and oppressed." These are themes that were discussed in this conversation, and are central to my mission, writing, and teaching. What you mentioned about "The interconnectedness of all things, the beauty of the natural world, the power of our own inner voice" - these are central themes in my forthcoming book about about the transformative impact of vegan values - and were discussed in this conversation. Thanks for sharing the essence of veganism so eloquently.
Hi!(from Ellen Prior)
Happy Vegan Month! ❤
Great info here, especially regarding the common diet of Jews during Jesus' lifetime. Thanks so much!
can you give us some context on the particular situations that exemplify this or inspired it?

Absolutely love this. What a wonderful man you are Richard ❤
We agree! Richard is wonderful. Thank you for your comment.
Right words, this is so true.
Thank you for the kind words.
I am a Christian but I am not a REAL Christian in that my faith isn’t strong enough to help me (1) stop living in despair and (2) stop being judgmental and angry. When I see the suffering in this world, to all its animals (including humans) I slip into a darkness.
Hi MyLifeInTheDesert, Faith is such an individual journey and it sounds like you are not yet where you wish to be yet - which is out of despair, anger, and judging. First, words of comfort - God is right there with you in darkness and despair. Secondly, where you find yourself at this moment is okay and it doesn't mean that you are not a 'real' Christian. Each one of us has our struggles and perceived shortcomings within our faith walk. It also becomes even more complex for us faith-based vegans who face our churches, temples, and houses of worship where our peers are often partaking in the culture of death and the violence associated with living in the world and treating sentient life cruelly. It is enough to make anyone slip into a bad place but thankfully with any "amount" of Christianity, one can move closer to the trinity in the way that most works for them and work and learn to find more comfort one small step at a time. It can be just a few minutes of prayer or meditation each day, or a walk in nature, a book, exercise, rest, or whatever makes us feel closer to the loving Creator who wants all life here to be respected, cherished, and to live without violence. The key to feel less controlled by the things you you would like out of your life is to be regular in whatever little practice you do to be closer to God. Studies have shown that doing something positive regularly for a month for just 5 minutes a day creates a better space for us to thrive. For me, it means a variety of different actions to choose from (prayer, meditation, walking, working out, being in nature, smiling at someone else who might not see another smile today, etc and etc). The actions are infinite. Thank you for sharing your feelings and about your faith walk. You are beloved by God. You are very appreciated by us. <3
Great way to put it. Like many I have certainly struggled with this.
This was so informative Thank You!
That is such a good point that corporations have rights why not animals.

It comes in time. My vegan Christian friend wants to know about why God allows this lamb slaughter
Amen! 🌱👏 Preach it! We are free and able to do a lot of wickedness. God created us free. But we choose to eat the original good Mercyfull way Good created us to in the beginning. Proverbs 12:10 ASV A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast; But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Proverbs 15:17 ASV Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, Than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. Jeremiah 7:21-26 ASV [21] Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat ye flesh. [22] For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt-offerings or sacrifices: [23] but this thing I commanded them, saying, Hearken unto my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people; and walk ye in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you. [24] But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in their own counsels and in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward. [25] Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt unto this day, I have sent unto you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: [26] yet they hearkened not unto me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers. Romans 14:13-23 ASV [13] Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother’s way, or an occasion of falling. [14] I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: save that to him who accounteth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. [15] For if because of meat thy brother is grieved, thou walkest no longer in love. Destroy not with thy meat him for whom Christ died. [16] Let not then your good be evil spoken of: [17] for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. [18] For he that herein serveth Christ is well-pleasing to God, and approved of men. [19] So then let us follow after things which make for peace, and things whereby we may edify one another. [20] Overthrow not for meat’s sake the work of God. All things indeed are clean; howbeit it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. [21] It is good not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to do anything whereby thy brother stumbleth. [22] The faith which thou hast, have thou to thyself before God. Happy is he that judgeth not himself in that which he approveth. [23] But he that doubteth is condemned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith; and whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Genesis 1:29 ASV [29] And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food: [30] and to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the heavens, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so. [29] And God said: Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed upon the earth, and all trees that have in themselves seed of their own kind, to be your meat: [30] And to all the beasts of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to all that move upon the earth, and wherein there is life, that they may have to feed upon. And it was so done. [29] And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb producing seed that is on the whole earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree producing seed: it shall be food for you; Matthew 9:10-13 DARBY [10] And it came to pass, as he lay at table in the house, that behold, many tax-gatherers and sinners came and lay at table with Jesus and his disciples. [11] And the Pharisees seeing it, said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax-gatherers and sinners? [12] But Jesus hearing it, said, They that are strong have not need of a physician, but those that are ill. [13] But go and learn what that is - I will have mercy and not sacrifice; for I have not come to call righteous men but sinners.
I had the opportunity to speak with Victoria a few months back. She's a real treasure!
I am so bummed I missed the live just saw it on facebook.
The Bible is a handbook on slavery !
Thank you for this. I am learning so much.
Would you say that Matthew 12:7 is a direct link to your verse because people are being mislead and dont really understand the meaning of "I DESIRE MERCY NOT SACRIFICE, blinded by themselves for their selfish desires of the flesh.... did not Jesus say on the cross "Father forgive them they dont know what they are doing! Why would Jesus say "Forgive them? when in fact we both know that people must repent and stop killing innocent animals?
Wow. Audio is definitely better and clearer than before. 👍
Amen
Hi Mariquita, may i know your friend's "animals' intelligence" YT channel name?
Awesome thank you
Very informational interview, Lisa Kemmerer, thank you! Changing the language changes the culture, education is key! This is Kathy from Creation Care Church!
Has the Bible created more atheists depicting God as a demonic entity than even the modern-day school system with its Godless/Darwin teachings? I think it may be a toss-up. We've got to move beyond the heavily corrupted/edited Bible with its hateful views of animals to comprehend the true God who designed this world as a learning ground. The focus should be on spiritual evolution, not physical (we share the same DNA with pigs as we do with primates!)
around early 2018 Franklin Graham came to Melbourne on preaching journey. i was one of his volunteers delivering flyers to the people in CBD . I met a group of people who were protesting against animal cruelty. I had a chat with one of them who told me that he was Christian , grew up in a Christian family then left church because God told his people to eat animals. after having heard what he said I couldn't understand him as I was not a vegan didn't show any concern to animals' sufferings at that time. pray people like him come back to faith thru your teaching. apparently the main stream churches are responsible for not teaching the truth about God and his animals.
I greatly appreciate this video interview. Craig makes some strong points throughout. While I don't always agree with his take on things, I've learned a lot from Craig. It's always a good thing to come across material that persuades us to exercise our critical thinking skills. Best wishes on your future endeavors, Craig! I am certain that our Creator looks favorably on your efforts.
Great teaching thanks
My dad got out of the car to rescue a snake like that in the road. The snake was definitely not happy 😅 But we were so relieved to see the snake safely leave the road. Thank you so much for this talk. Well said, Jonathan Balcombe. Just got your book What a Fish Knows and can’t wait to read it!
