Just how bad the tek 2.0 was 🤦♂️
Thought moving to the tek 2.0 would be an upgrade…… it’s worse than the 1.5 🤦♂️

Got a new pup so upgraded the system for training with another collar and wanted more distance and the map. After 2k spent, its even worse than the one I already had!!
Sport dog tek 1.5 is garbage!!

Had nothing but problems with this unit since it was purchased! Sportdog sent me a replacement and it is the same issues. Don’t wast your money and get the garmin!
You should change that to yards
Try the longer after market antennas.
I would not use that model for scent hounds. I think it might be okay for upland bird dogs that might not range that far. That is Sport Dog's basic model without many bells or whistles. Did you try testing it by putting just the collar out in a large area and checking the distance? Those tracking units go way less then the manufacture's specs. Terrain variations limit the range big time.
You have to calibrate the system mines is very accurate
That’s thick. Those tall trees mess with gps.
I have had 1.0, 1.5, and now 2.0. Not a fan, nothing but trouble with them. 1.0,1.5 graphics are TERRIBLE, 2.0 is only slightly better. Have no experience with Garmin but from reviews I've read lots of problems at 3 times the cost. I will stick to a T& B by dogtra. Just my 2 cents worth.

I had the same issue and had to calibrate the collar and do the free update but over all I had no issues and the customer service is impeccable
Customer service was fantastic! but I replaced antennas, collars, and a handheld but it never improved.
I've used a multitude of tracking devices over the past 15 year's or so & to be honest I don't think any of them are very effective in woodland,I'm in the UK & currently use the Astro & Alpha version's, Sportdog Tek was poor & very inaccurate I found even out in the open,the best by far in dense cover/woodland/forestry at least here in the UK is the Dogtrace X20 & I'd assume the newer X30 may even be better still.
Did you tell sport dog? And what did they do?
I did inform Sportdog and they sent a multitude of additional parts trying to get better range with no success. I have nothing against their customer service as they were very helpful it is just the product wasn’t good.
You were looking at the remote wrong. It’s only going to show the dog and where your at based off of the remotes location to North. I just got mine and it works good. Yeah I kinda gotta think about the dog location in reference to north but it does it’s job
