Boston Kimono Academy Wagoroko was founded by Matsuko Levin in Boston, Massachusetts. It is a branch school of "The Cultural Foundation for Promoting the National Costume of Japan." At the Academy, you can learn how to wear kimono and yukata for men and women!

How to Tie the Otaiko Knot for Kimono
In this video, we teach kimono beginners how to tie the most common obi knot, the otaiko knot. We used a Nagoya obi because it is great for beginners and they are really easy to find!

I was finally able to tie the otaiko knot! This video was the easiest to follow along with because of the closeups and I could clearly see where to fold etc Now I'll practice a little more to tie it neater

What are the measurements of the obi you're using?
yukata obi is usually 3.2m.
