While on the solar eclipse trip in 2017, there were massive fires burning out of control that were blocking the views of the state of WA and OR, and there was a massive fire fight to stop them and we saw these in action. 8-22-2017

Hi Vlad, Saw your post and comment on the forum, nothing happens when plugged in. When attempted, its waits for a bit and does the random on & off blinking.... then BOTH flash ON & OFF and i get the error. Usually at that time the charger or system will attempt to engage the pack/ contactors/ HV system but it doesn't.

i have had to do some of those climbs to retrieve my model..nightmare stuff but the reality is you will pretty much put your life at risk to retrieve it ..

Thanks buddy! Is there no scrap shops over there that you can get remnants or knock-offs from? I'd imagine there would have to be. Check out the MPCNC forums, lots of people from all over the world that probably source stainless tubing.

There are multiple Leaf's running around with both the air cooled and WC Brusa units and they are rock solid. No issues at all.
What parts did you print the polycarbonate and who makes the polycarbonate?

So far so good! Thanks for all your help on the forum Ryan! I've been slowing learning the CNC world and all the processes, terminologies,etc taking baby steps at a time. The only thing I'm not fond of is the ESTLCAM software, I find it very difficult or confusing to work with so I've trying out a few others and have found that MeshCAM is giving me excellent results and is very nice to work with! I always believe in paying for SW if its good so I'm close in pulling the trigger on MeshCAM. I found that you have to set it to "TURBOcnc" for Repetier to like the output and work with our machines but its pretty nice. As for the PS, yeah (LOL) i was hesitant of the 6a you give in the kit because I want to mount a 3w laser I also have soon but I've tried to load it up and have seen no more than 2.8amps now. I started with MeshCAM, I think my first video was cutting its demo 3D face. Software isn't too big of a deal for most cuts, chose what you want. I have not kept up with it's features to see what it does and doesn't have. Depends on how deep you want to get into the rabbit hole. FusionCAM has most options you could ever want. For me I can set up a cut in Estlcam in a few minutes and not look back, so for me it has every feature I want. I am sure Meshcam is full featured enough and worth the money, just make sure it has some sort of carve with a Vbit and you should be fine. The thing to look out for is the post processor, we have tweaked them all. You really must have different feedrates and rapids for the XY and Z axes, displayed on each line. Marlin does not see G0 and G1 differently. With out this do not waste your time or bring the Post Processor to the forums and see if one of us can make it work with Marlin correctly.

Its about $500 to $700 if you DIY and are handy. $1300 to $2000 for a kit or install. it depends.
Where did you get it from? I take it, its plug and play kinda deal?
I built it from scratch. I designed and engineered it along with all the custom cabling. It's built only for the Leaf which is why I said you would have to do a DIY setup for your car.
What about the 3 phase 22kw brusa NLG667 ?? Is there nobody out there who tried it ??

for your car? no. For the Leaf, it's on the link at the top of the page here. You would have to DIY your car. I don't think anybody has done a spark yet.

Its not portable.. it's part of the car and adds another 3.6kw of charging capacity to the Leaf.
what display board is that ?
It's a custom made board for displaying CAN BUS data, etc.. It does it for the Leaf & RavEV (Tesla Generation)

A CHAdeMO doesn't require 3ph power. There is now a 12kw portable DCQC/CHAdeMO charger that's been shown and built on the Leaf forum that runs off 240v 50a single ph using a 3d printed connector.
My 2013 Leaf is already 6.6kw from factory. Half the EV owners I know are doing 6.6kw or higher. My condo garage and workplace both have 3 phase AC and would allow me hook up. They allowed me to install my OpenEVSEs with minimal hassle. These guys are really smart and seem to know CAN. Too bad they aren't working on inexpensive DIY CHAdeMO solution. Three phase is all over the place. Just not at houses.
The Chademo setup requires a 3-phase supply and they aren't exactly available in abundance - the 6.6kW option is FAR more versatile, not to mention kinder to the battery. Leave Chademo to the gas stations and dealership forecourts.

8 amps.. the stock OBC will do no more then 9 or so. Look at my other YT vids and you'll see the difference having another charger makes. I'm working on a 3 charger unit right now!

This might be a dumb and uninformed question. You guys appear to have a good working knowledge of the Leaf charging system and CAN. Why not concentrate your efforts on an affordable CHAdeMO solution? It could do the job in 30-60 minutes instead of 4 hours. I'm an EV owner so I appreciate that your effort here does cut the charge time in half for pre 2013 Leaf owners.
