They only put the blue medallion on their USA made knives. Blades Canada is my main knife store!

Very cool variant. So many good flavors of 112s (and 110s). After more than a year testing Buck's Magnacut and minimally using my 30V Bucks I'd forgotten how good they are. The edge retention is very impressive and a GREAT value these days. Elwood's sleeping bag is awesome too.
I have nothing but good to say about the S30V. Some have said it is chippy and can be brittle, I have not experienced that at all. Yep Elwood is right at home in his Buck boudoir!

Thanks RW! My first ever EBay purchase. I got the Eraser from SMKW a couple years ago, I believe it is a compound of rubber and silicone. It does a pretty good job, I did goof on a mirror polish blade once, just a speck of rust and the eraser left a smudge! Oh well! Now I know! Thanks for taking the time eh!👍

So many great flavors of the 112. They sure seem to multiply in my collection. I don't think I've ever seen the paperstone version. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
I really enjoy the paperstone Ranger, such a lightweight version with full size feel! I have been eyeing a 212 on EBay, going to have to save my paper route money!💰
@@kniceslice780 I managed to score a 212 in D2/cocobolo - only 37 made if I recall correctly. After looking at ebay it looks like it will remain a safe queen. My favorite fixed ranger is the152. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. Even better than the 101.
@@kirbycreekmo the 110 is my primary hunting knife, the TRX has impressed me so much. The 112 is my favourite EDC. Perfect for almost any job! Yep, EBay is pricey, you know how I feel about full retail! LOL!!

Buck makes a nice hollow ground blade. Wash the scales off and apply some mineral oil, if you like the darker body oil colour.

My only complaint with my custom shop 112 is that the blade contacts the frame when closing. A fast close will ding my edge! What a nice gift!!
It is a very nice gift for sure! Have you reached out to Buck? They should be able to correct the centering on your knife for you. Thanks for taking the time eh.
@@kniceslice780its not the centering. When the knife is closed, the edge of the blade hits the back spine. There is no blade stop on the 112 or 110. A closed blade rests on its edge. Close the knife fast and it dings the tip of the blade

What's the difference between the regular 110 or 112 and the pro 110 or 112 ?
The Pro models are made with more premium materials. The steel is upgraded providing better edge retention. The standard version has brass and ebony wood handles, the pro has nickel silver and G10. Some pro models have aluminum and Micarta in place of the brass and ebony. Thanks for taking the time eh.
Glad to see them paired up properly. I had hoped to catch you south of the border prior to now. As you know this year has had plans that are different than my own. I still hope we can pull off a howdy and a handshake one of these days. My apologies for the delay in getting you the sheath. I hope the 112 will serve you well. I use mine as my "in town" lockback mostly but it does just fine in the woods too.

I was haggling over a one line Pathfinder last weekend, it was priced too high for the condition, had to walk away. I might give it a month or two and see if it is still there and try again!
