Hi there! As you already know the RS485-2 can be Master/slave and the RS485-1 can only be slave. You can use them at the same time without any issues. You can try to connect the RS485-2 to the RS485-1 to test it :)

Hi there! Thanks for your feedback. The Modicon M168 is now an obsolete Hvac controller, you can use the Modicon M173 but the migration is manual because is a different controller for hvac. I do not have any experience with SoHVAC neither the M168, i have started the hvac journey in Schneider with the M171

Hi there! Usually when we want to use the trace first the variable needs to be configured in a logging group. Based on that configuration of the log the data avaialble for you to see in the trace, maybe it is related to that and the configuration on the trace. Hi there! In your case you can have the variable coming from the plc with the temperature then you can create internal variables type bool on the hmi and link the plc variable with a converter, similar to this: th-cam.com/video/UCgA59K_s4s/w-d-xo.html

@@LeTomasAHUMADA Thank you for your quick answer. I watched your recommended video. But I actually can do this conversion on PLC side and transfer the ready BOOL variable to the HMI side. This is what I mentioned in the "workaround" part of my message. Doing this on PLC side is much easier and flexible as I can do it using FOR i:=1 TO myArrayLength. What this does not solve is customization of the message. Because I need to show the message to the operator with the name of sensor that is in alarm. It is important to log which sensors are in alarm mode. So, I need to make a custom message like indicated in my comment above. I could create 21 different alarms with individual messages for each alarm. But the problem is that the name of sensor depends on machine configuration. For different machines we have different number of sensors in different places. Also, the maximum temperature depends on currently selected recipe and it may change. So we need to log it. It looks like there is no way but to make own table and its visualization manually. But it also leads to making own alarm management system at both PLC and HMI side. In CoDeSys the things were much easier. :)

@ for the moment customization of the alam message is not a feature that we have in EOTE yet…my work around is for you to avoid adding additional logic in the plc but if i can i will do it in the plc 😊. If you really need to customised the message the using Vijeo Designer may be an option

The situation will be the same, try to re-download the same firmware to the lmc058, not sure how you get that state but try to perform the firmware upgrade. If there is not any led working after that then try to replace the lmc058 for another one. Please make sure you give supply to all the element in the module to turn the plc on.

Hi there! I am not 100% sure what you want to achieve but if you want to change a value of a variable in a PLC using the HMI is possible.

@@LeTomasAHUMADA , when I set the frequency of the logging interval for example 10 seconds, is there a way to change this via HMI to say 60 seconds.

Hi there! Try to check if the problem is not related to the architecture/wirred used, remember to use the terminal resistor to compensate the channel. Try again the program without that device configure just to check if the problem is software or hardware

Hi there! I had a quick look and the contact for Positive or negative edge is not available for the "Inputs" of the block you must use that outside the block. I have tried to use a bit of a word but not possible. I will try to avoid to use the function for edge detection inside a block because it will attach an instance of that block (because it has a number there..under it increase but i do not think so).

Good question, based on the catalog of the m262 we know we can have for distributed io up to 64x TM3 I/O bus coupler (EtherNet/IP) and/or up to 32 x TM3 I/O bus coupler (Modbus/ TCP) (2), allowing up to 14x TM3 I/O modules by bus coupler. I have checked on the m241 catalog and that info is not shown so i believe the best is to make the configuration that you want and check the ethernet load consumption.
