If you wanted to convert this to conventional sized snare wires, would you just simply remove the bottom portion of the strainer and the butt? Would it require longer than normal straps?

Probably their best. Not mentioning the fact this was the first true Jazz Rock mix it was pivotal in blending both as Terry, Peter and Danny were an amazing power trio could stack up against Cream and their horns blended beautifully. Their vocal harmonies were also outstanding. A triumph of an album that has stood the test of time 😎🙏❤️🎸

Interesting that I 've just watched Virgil Donati's latest video rehearsing at Drum Channel and he mentions that it might be time for him to switch to matched. When I saw him in clinic he said if he was to start again he'd definitely play matched . Good discussion

Definitely nothing wrong with having a favorite album when talking about any band or musician, but in my opinion, all of the Grand Funk Railroad catalog is 200% killer damn good music!!! And I also absolutely love the Grand Funk tunes you mentioned!!! Ernie Wilber 🤘👹🤘✌️

Seen Virgil many times , mainly in clinic , met him 5 years ago and had quite a chat with him . Very intense guy I think totally dedicated to elevation of his craft

tune very tight on bottom head and you can get every sound you want by tuning the top

I came here to see how one reverses the sticking in the intro so you can hit the hat accents and crashes with the the right. That's the one thing you left out. I saw you hit that double with your left hand after the crash going back into the figure, and that's the missing piece.

If you wanna study groove...listen to Mickey. Check out Mad Mad World by Tom Cochrane. Bad habits by Colin James - striped down production.. you can really hear Mickey Groove! The Bryan Adams band is not the same without Mickey. I wish I know what happened there. Bryan thinks he's a drummer, he's been tracking his own drums on songs. I guess he can do whatever he wants, it's his band.

Bobby played a chrome over brass Rogers Dynasonic on a lot of BS&T recordings...THAT was the sound he got.

Steve winwood is a unique talent and has been since he was 17 years old or whatever with Spencer Davis the traffic years were transformative I got to see him live with blind Faith I'll tell you this is not afraid of Eric Clapton he stood toe-to-toe with him with a guitar had to cry today it was phenomenal I've never heard a hint of scandal or a lot of the normal rock and roll garbage being a part of his life he strikes me as a fine man and a great artist
