Only been on a timer for 6 hours a day just to see if it makes a difference? They have only been on a couple of days. I did not want every one to rush and buy them if they don't work! To be far I have been busy looking after a wife who fell down two steps and dislocated her ankle and broke her leg! So Chaos reins here! I would love to say I will get out in the sun and do a video today but it ain't happening for about 8 weeks as the wife has broken her ankle and is awaiting surgery on it so I am grounded. But I will add it my To Do List! But I have 5500 gallon main, 750grow on in shed, two 300 gallon ponds in garage, so four ponds in total! and 2 tanks.

Many Thanks for your comment very much appreciated. On the same video at 1.18 mins in the Video are some imported koi from Sakai Koi Farm in Japan. OK they are not the highest quality but they are from one of the best breeders in JAPAN. If you compare the before and after video of the Saki koi you can clearly see they are suffering from a lack of daylight which is effecting the beni. I freely state this in the video. Compare the beni of my koi at the start to the Saki Showa’s which is better? I rest my case! I agree with your statement “ Tobi grow upon there own” but I would go further and say all koi grow up on there own! All the best Richard

Replenish is to strong a word but I do a small constant top up once a week in summer with the warm water temps. I find nitrite is slow to start and hard to keep going so I keep topping it up. Many Thanks Richard

@@koibreeding I would like to know what you think about EA K+ media and how much you need for say 500grm food feeding etc ?? It says its better than K1 and micro K1 but how much better do you think or know ?.. Thankyou Julian

@@julianrout1347 I quote Oase Helx 13 as they answered my emails on how much media to use. They also answered how much water to there pond pads, so I have a lot of time for them. EA on the other hand I have sent several emails more than 10! Filters etc about Ki and KI+ Micro never had an answer? I have K+ but I think helx 13 has more area if you compare the two. 25litres = 170 grams of food therefore 75 litres Helx13 for me! I support the firms that answer emails simple! Just email EA and Oase and see who answers? and let me know!

@@mustangkoiaustralia I use Kingspan a foil backed foam board or silver backed bubble wrap to keep the heat in Make sure you insulate underneath the pond and cover the top at night to keep the heat in. I use a titanium heater to keep the water stable 23C. It may pay you to try again in a months time it may be to early in season has the female been precondition?

I think the law should change and filter manufactures have to state what koi there filter can cope with! Then watch there sales dive!!!! If you have an easy pod increase the filtration by adding a wham bam box shower after it. I have done two or three videos on them,cheap effective and NO koi TAX!

@@koibreeding well I went down that road with a diy shower with 35kilo of Kano in it and a 50ltr moving bed, I can honestly say neither did anything for my pond, probably wasn’t running enough water through the shower for it to be effective and the bed would’ve been more beneficial as a static filter in my opinion, big multibay and a 300 gallon veg filter is going in and see how it goes

I used a brine shrimp lemonade double top cap ( hope that makes sense I can take a photo tomorrow) The air comes in one and bobbles up to keep the mixture mixed up. the other is the drip feed with an RO pipe on inside of bottle to the top level of water. The drip is adjusted by the top RO water feed tap so once the bottle is full it simply overflows at a drip at a time.
