Thank you for this lovely video! I used to live around here and I miss it so much. Beautiful place
It's known as the gazza strip that's what I was told it is like being in a foreign country... Nice though
Charmistan
How much weight?
About 2kg
Fantastic video, brilliant weather. I'm lucky to live nearby and see these views daily in all weathers. Can I ask what equipment you're using in the video, the zoom capability seems top notch
Too much footage of traffic rather than buildings.
The best thing about this to me is that you get to keep the chainrings. I have never understood why everyone seems to push for wide range rear cassettes that always seem to need maintenance like a needy problematic sports car, meanwhile the front derailleur of my 21 speed has never needed adjustment in the many years I've ridden it, yet the 7 speed cassette has had the chain pop off nearly dozen times, and has needed some TLC and readjusting several dozen times because its derailleur is having to flex so far compared to my childhood 10 speed's 5x cassette. If some company could just give me a way to put my 3x on a nice mid-drive conversion kit and keep my bulletproof front derailleur, I'd gladly pay a grand for a whole kit, but sadly old reliable has gone the way of the dodo, so I'll just have to hack together a much superior homemade mid-drive and wrap it all up in some nice 3d printed air ducting so nothing melts down on me. Maybe fit some heat sinks to the battery so I don't have a repeat battery near-explosion incident while the battery is up against my leg, it is not fun panicking while a battery is puffing out and going volcanic on you. Maybe a supercapacitor bank would be better? Those have far superior power delivery, safety and eco-friendliness by several magnitudes, I don't need the range I just need to accumulate a charge from every stop to help me get up the hills on my 40 pound monster XD
The most boring dump with dire shops
Nice to see The Richmond still open. 2-bedroom flat (Acland Road) £200 per month mid 80's.
Totally enjoyed this
I see my dads business little Buddha
This build needs clipless pedals😮
Lived here 9 years and all I can say is what a dump of a High Street. It looks like a parade of shops in the depths of a council estate! 😔
I live in ringwood
not much to do. why is everything diagonal?
Well done! It would work better with a 44 tooth sprocket on your left crank to match the motor speed to a human pedalling speed, as well as greatly increasing the torque. I have actually done so, though with the 350W version of this motor. Very cheap, very reliable, but the motor reduction gear is noisy. I've done over 12000km no problems (I did pack extra grease in the motor reduction gear at the outset, because frankly, there was hardly any in there to start with).
Great place to live restaurants good and a great mixture of shops ❤

I live in Westbury.
Ha! Me too!
Gonna go viral
Man, you have to pedal hard to keep up with that😂
Question for you does your mid drive E bike still work? I’m currently building one your design kind of inspired me i’m just curious if it still works after five years
Hi yes it was great while it worked. Im doing a new one now for a smaller bike
That is not a fair account. You did not go to the abandoned part, which is between Boots and the Mosque. The building which was about to fall forward and would have probably take its neighbours with it, is now propped up by scaffold and tanks of water and just left to rot. The Triangle, which has been torn to shreds and seems to have been forgotten, the part where all the shops are closed except two. The Quedam, the latest shopping centre where again almost every other shop is closed. The place where people can be heard punctuating their speech with expletives. Yeovil? Dodge city would be more appropriate.
Dangerous
Seems to be full of nothing but takeaways .
in the 60,s and 70,s there used to be a band stand on the left side of the bridge and on the right side of the bridge an open air swimming pool.of course the bridge wasn,t there then
Cor! look at the birds
no idea never heard it beofre
Lovely cley hill one of my favourite places
lovely place
The high street is dying several empty shops. Methodist Church possibly about to be sold off. Worst of all the absolute disgusting state of the empty property next to the Chinese takeaway at the bottom of the high street. The council should be ashamed of themselves, make the owners tidy it up.
agree what the heck is going on here
The refresh program has gone down the toilet. I think the description is rather misleading too
I moved down to Bournemouth in 1970 with my parents and lived in a 2 bedroom flat above what is now Subway. It used to be a sweet shop run by my Dad and Grandad and we stayed there until 1976 when we sold the shop and moved to St Luke's Road. I've lived locally ever since and so seen all the numerous changes first hand.
Thats amazing to hear. Its been 17 years since i lived at heron court road and my old flat is seen at the begining.
Thanks for sharing. I live in Bournemouth town centre - know this stretch of town very well. 👍
No pakkis or Africans nice for a change
stayed in that very room many times, fab views
glorious Warminster
right at the start of the vidio next to the bridge there was a swimming pool in the 70,s
i always wondered what ringwood was like as ive been through it many times on the coach
Really nice place changed massively over the years though😀
I found that really enjoyable haven't walked up that road in nearly sixty three years doesn't look like much has changed at all, thanks for posting Frank.
Thanyou very much Sir. A lovelly place indeed.
Can anybody help me with what song this is pls?
Restaurant looks good at 16:40
Always likes salisbury haven't been there for around 5 years tho
Lovely little place changed alot though over the years
💜✌
Why do every 'Bankers corner' look the same in every town....?
Nice to see my home town again, but my god, how it's changed in 8 years
looking a little worse for wear in places
That white deer at 1:37 whoa
What a strange haunting place good video thanks
Cor thats flooded!!
You can tell I haven't been there for decades! Milldown OK. Went to School opposite. NO Buildings. Long train tunnel? At a guess looks like the ring road. Near too half the population for the town.
Thanks for the comment David maybe time to plan a summer vacation back to your old town! The track I was on continues to Sturminster Newton if I am correct and the other way left towards town goes to what must be the old station. Which would be a trip worthy of it's on video.
