That fps tanking move chokes out my full size pc. They've gotta optimize that really badly.

Seems hard to do on controller. You should also have footage of you doing this on a run against enemies and a boss.

btw 4:45 u dont have to pick up that telepike you can use katars alterattack that will get u to the other side or just mash space near the edge and you can glitch to the other side idk if they fixed that tho.

funny enough I beat the Tempestuous difficulty with a goo build, using brush and goo bomb to keep the boss in place (together with Kunai and curse trap), while 2 other players beat them to death :D but yea, brush is pretty bad, but goo bomb is a bit worse than frost nova, since they can still attack, but I would not say it's absolute trash. I regret unlocking leaf one though haha

Basilisk is my favorite too. I wish we could also change the colors too.

Bruh my first cata solo clear was due to shield. I knew my build wasn’t powerful enough by the time I got to incubator so I picked it up thinking yolo were dead anyway - I had a raven blade w crit gifts and the life steal gift (3% w inv dash cod - shield is perfect w this even now at 2% bc u rarely need to spam dash v bosses w it) and it was ez mode from that point on. I never used to touch it

Eye blade+bolt/umbrella/boomer r all up there for me. Boomerang or fish knife w the same 3 r good and easier.. if you have some crit gifts ravenblade becomes much more powerful. Sirocco is all round a pretty good versatile weapon too, as are the new flame claws.

Ignoring the boomerang builds bc they're just the best (bolt, eye blade, umbrella), sirocco kunai has been a ton of fun in co op runs. Being the "support" player and being able to apply so many effects especially with "on hit" gifts gives so much utility to the run and it's just so satisfying. Boomerang eye blade has got to be my favorite in the game tho for solo. It's cheap but being the beyblade makes me happy

I actually like the shield, recently beat Stormy solo with it. You're right that damage over time ground attacks and shockwaves can be very finicky, what I've found helps is buffering your alter attack and dash by pressing the button while the animation for the previous action is still going, and you won't get hit. It's a tight window though and better just to not risk it with some moves

hate the shield but the parry is cool

Interesting I wonder if the rework on r/g will change much.. I usually always do r/g/b or g/r/b. Idk why but I can no hit blue consistently usually but less so red and especially green haha.

just played an easy mode game (chillin) and beat all 3 brothers w eye blade in less than 10 alterattacks total... i broke the game on that run lmao

The only time I got ninja stars to feel good was with like 60% attack speed which is way too many boosts wasted in attack speed...

Great Vid-- on an unrelated note, what graphics settings do you use? I'm trying to see what's optimal for FPS but lowering the settings don't necessarily result in fps boosts (it's generally in multiplayer when I experience the most frame drops) Lmk if you wanna play some time--I seem to share your obsession for this game despite it lacking content being in early access and all haha.

have you played much anchor in the beta? Its way easier to dash in between attacks and not interrupt the combo and in general more responsive and smooth. Its aoe still doesn't track mouse but theres a paw on it now so Ill call that a win. The alter attack has been changed, its no longer several swings into a blast its a single swing that releases a blast. Shield got frames added to parry window but still seems eh, even coming from a soulslike parry main(even if it has something like spectral blade, freeze, damage increase etc on parry).

And they just got buffed like twice. Nice timing lol.

I've beaten the game twice w the stars, both times I had boost booster and boss drop boosts, spammed crit damage. They really do suck lol

You are so talented! Also you have the weapon level 1 so we cannot expect too much damage. But the true question is "is it normal to be able to charge an alterattack while we are actually not hitting enemies with our primary weapon?" It kind of making the game "too easy" no?

Sudden death is fair if you are very good at the game. I think a kinder penalty that keep the sudden death idea is better. And maybe it should increase with the game difficulty let say you take 50% more damage at the easiest difficulty 100% for the next one and so on so forth until sudden death to cataclysmic or like 250% which would be basically sudden death unless you have a lot of hp.
