If Rose Lavelle is healthy, we need her on the Olympic team. She is one of the most creative women playing today.
Absolutely! Her creativity adds a lot of energy to the team and makes them perform better. If she's in top shape, they'll have a stronger midfield and better chances of crushing it in the Olympics. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
We need to have healthy players and chemistry to be ready!
Definitely! Health and chemistry are super important for any team that wants to win big, especially in the Olympics. With the players getting better and the team bonding during practice and friendly games, they're getting ready to crush it.
I hope so. We just need to be perfectly ready and stronger than all the other teams..
Thanks for your comment! As long as they can get everyone healthy, continue to build chemistry, and peak at the right time, they absolutely have the quality to compete for gold in Paris.
The US goalkeeper should have been red carded for taking out the Canadian player.
That incident has caused a lot of discussion. But honestly, moments like these just make the sport even more exciting, don't they?
@@Womenssoccerhub Have a look at Schumacher's foul on Battiston in Spain 1982. Schumacher should have been red carded and charged with attempted murder. And banned for life.
Trying to defend Mal, Soph, Trin, and Shaw all at the same time is hell on any defense. I would start those 4 upfront every game and let them build that chemistry. They looked amazing for the limited time we did see them together. Alex gotta come off the bench imo.
Exactly
I dont see this team winning the Gold medal because the team just got a new coach and are still trying to find the right combo up front. They still dont have a dominant 6 player either. I do hope they can medal tho.
You have a valid point about the coaching change and the unresolved front-line puzzle. But hey, hope is the last thing to die. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Fantastic dribbling display 🙄
Thanks for your comment!
They wasted the past year trying to force has-been and never-was instead of giving better players the opportunity to build cohesion. It’s too late now. I will not be surprised if the U.S. doesn’t make it out of the group stage. Maybe then they’ll realize it’s time to reform the front line so they can score goals. They will never get back on top until they take off the blinders and see what’s actually happening on the pitch instead of pretending.
We totally get where you're coming from. You seem really passionate about the team and make a really good point about the front line needing some serious changes. They gotta address that ASAP to get better.
Man soolte es nicht drauf ankommen lassen elf Meter zu schießen um weiter zu kommen, lieber von Anfang an schöne Tore zu schießen, das andere ist immer ein Risiko 😂
Yeah, you're right! Sometimes, relying on penalty kicks can feel like rolling the dice.
Heroic goal line clearance? The ball slowly rolled towards where she was standing and she fell over. Stop with the rubbish.
Are you a bit bum hurt because it wasn't another video about Ronaldo or Messi or something? It was a heroic goal line clearance which prevented a goal 😅. Nothing wrong with that?
@@Halfy1990 Not particularly bothered about either of those players. I've said why it wasn't heroic. To say it was is pathetic. It was rubbish...and pathetic.
To be fair it was rubbish but it is women's football which is trash😂

Thank you for your comments! Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Hey there! Thanks for your comment. Any thoughts on how to get the team ready?
False sense of success only playing non-Euro teams the last year. They are not ready against the top teams in Europe. And injuries are not helping 😢
Thanks for your input! It's super important to play against top teams if you want to get the experience and toughness required to succeed in the Olympics. Injuries definitely add another layer of complexity to their preparation. But they have a knack for stepping up when it counts.

Thanks for dropping a comment! I get your skepticism about the USWNT at the Olympics. But with a mix of seasoned veterans and up-and-coming stars, they should be ready for the games.
Emma Hayes is an amazing women’s coach! Hopefully, she can get enough time to get this team ready!
Absolutely! Emma Hayes is an amazing coach with a track record that proves it. We share your optimism and also hope she gets enough time to prepare the team for the Olympics. We're excited to see how the team will perform with Hayes as their guide. Thanks for your comment!
They don't win no medal
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The USWNT is awesome. They always step up their game and give their best no matter what. The Olympics are always full of surprises. Can't wait for the games to start!
In the last Olympic U.S. lost, and World Cup lost too. In order to always win, most of the players need to change their diets. They are eating very wrong some of them. Lindsey Horan answered me my suggestion and you can see now how much weight she lost and how fast is she now. Specially changing her breakfast.
Can you feed the Men team correctly so they can get out of being a door mat.
Eating well is as important for athletes as scoring goals, and it's cool to see players willing to make changes to improve their performance. But it's not just about that - a team's success is also about having a solid game plan, working well together, and being able to handle whatever comes their way. Thanks for being part of the discussion!
Making sure that all team players have access to proper nutrition is super important for their performance, recovery, and overall health. Each player's needs are different, so finding the right balance is key to enhancing their performance on the field.
Of course that was Canada’s plan about Smith. They saw her starting and neutralized her. Putting her on the wing with not a lot of speed next to her only made that easier. Both Rodman and Swanson are faster than Morgan and Shaw. Happy Twila got it right in the 2nd half for both Smith and Shaw.
Thanks for your insights on the game! The changes made by Twila in the second half really turned things around for both Smith and Shaw, proving that adaptability and strategy are key. Having this kind of tactical flexibility could make a huge difference in the USWNT's performance at the Olympics.
Honestly US team is in the good shape now but still not enough if we face with Europe teams like Germany, Spain…. And just my opinion keep Lavelle as attacking midfielder
Facing strong European teams like Germany and Spain is quite a challenge. They're tough opponents, and the competition is fierce. Rose Lavelle is a really good attacking midfielder, and keeping her in that position would be great for the team's performance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
With the 4-3-3 arrange with good passes to fast running Smith would be worked for the U.S Women's Team
Totally agree with you! A 4-3-3 formation would be awesome as they have some great passers, and with Smith's speed up front, it'd be a winning strategy. It's gonna be exciting to see how they face the Olympic challenge.
Not hating but those pens were trash
Penalty shootouts can be super random, and even the best players can have an off day. But let's remember to give props to Alyssa Naeher.
'PK's' hurts every time...also shocking pens
Absolutely! Penalty shootouts are such a rollercoaster of emotions! It's always nerve-wracking but thrilling to see. Naeher's performance definitely made it a memorable win for the USWNT against Canada.
Did u know it’s called football? And a team of 15 year old boys beat this US team??? So you can hardly call it god mode when my son would do a pen better
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. That was such a nail-biting moment, and Naeher gave an outstanding performance. That's why we all love soccer! It's always exciting, and everyone can have their say! ⚽🔥
All terrible penalties.

For re
Hey there! While it might seem that way, we gotta give props to Alyssa Naeher. She did really well and proved herself in a big way. These moments make or break a player's reputation, and she totally nailed it.
It will need a miracle to beat Spain. I will be very happy if US makes into the semi-final 👌👌
Hey there! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. It's definitely going to be a challenging tournament, and Spain's team is pretty solid. Making it to the semi-finals would be absolutely incredible. In Soccer, anything's possible! 🇺🇸⚽👊
US should be smoking Canada, this penalty tie is not good.
The match against Canada was a bit of an eye-opener for the USWNT. The penalty tie was not what they expected, but it was still a valuable learning experience. 🇺🇸⚽🔥
US is falling behind. We still play morgan, sonnet, and dahlkemper and dunn, and naeher, when they should just retire from national team. Keep playing thr old gaurd, and we will keep falling behind. Not ready, we are ranked 4-5 in the world.
Definitely! The rankings show that international women's soccer has become highly competitive. Players like Morgan, Sonnet, Dahlkemper, Dunn, and Naeher bring a ton of experience, but it's also important to add new talent and mix things up, which will be crucial at the Olympics. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about the USWNT.
No. They aren't ready, Spain is on point and a strong contender for a repeat!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's true that Spain has shown remarkable skills and clockwork performance, but let's not forget that the US Women's Soccer National Team has a history of bouncing back and showing up strong when it really matters. It'll be an exciting and competitive Olympic tournament.
no
What would you change or improve?
Sure the US team could take it all. BUY they won’t be the favorites this time. I do believe that at this time they indeed are the number 4 or 5 team in the world The major problem I see is this team in the last 3 years or so just doesn’t seem United. The team used to be a United sisterhood. From my observations there is much more dissension on this team then any time in the past. I would venture to say it’s political in nature, everyone seems to have a agenda to push that they put over team play. When you get a group of people together from all walks of life you just can’t agree on everything. Opinions cause judgment and arguing ! My solution is ladies have your agendas but keep out of team time. There should be no deep Discussions about political and moral points of view. Your business. Is to win games and only games. two cents from a fan !!
Thank you for your comment! You're right about how important and challenging it is to keep everyone on the same page in a diverse team. When we're all working towards the same goal, we must put our personal stuff aside and focus on winning.
Europeans are better now, Simple as that.
Well, you never know what's going to happen in soccer games. The players always give it their all, and the Olympics are full of surprises. Everything remains to be seen!
*I disagree with you about Morgan. She is not what she used to be. She misses a lot of opportunities to score and she is a hindrance for the fast forwards that this team have. She cannot keep up with Smith, Swanson, and Trinity Rodman. The team is better without Morgan.*
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us! You make a really good point. A player's form can change, and it's super important to have a clockwork team, especially when you have such fast and talented players like Smith, Swanson, and Rodman. However, Morgan brings a lot to the table with her experience and leadership. Plus, she has a lot of tactical knowledge that goes beyond her current stats. Would you say the new coach should replace Morgan or reposition her to make the team better?
Thanks so much for your game analysis. I had read many reviews before yours. To your credit, yours is above and beyond any other that I had read. An incredible insight indeed. Beginning from the start of the game till the end is very spot on. I was an international soccer goalkeeper, and later on the college level, so i am able to match your views with appreciation. The only suggestion that I do have is that as you stated, there were issues in the first half. My observation was that they appeared over coached before the match started, which created a slight appearance of wanting to be perfect, indecisive, and nervous from the front line all the way to the defense. Cohesion requires some time for proper adaptation. Not to change the player positions and tactics weekly. Most of the front line, are mostly played out of positions from their different club assignments. That can be daunting sometimes with such wholesale changes every week. So, they do have to be thinking too much before they react, instead of simply reacting to what they are already accustomed to. A greater team would probably have scored two goals in that first half, which would have been difficult to recover from by the USWNT. Alyssa Naeher has been great indeed, going back to her World Cup appearance, of which she caught a penalty also in that series. In soccer goalkeeping, more so than other positions, longevity and experience counts a lot for decision making and confidence. She is reaping the rewards of both, and I can attest to that. She does however need to practice coming out of the goal a little better after the last 2 games. At this moment in time for the Olympics, a steady team combination should already be in place, barring injuries. The opportunity for that might still be lagging, which the She Believes Cup, Gold Cup should have resolved before that last game. Once again thanks so much for your analysis.
Thanks a lot for your comment! Your perspective is truly valuable and adds a lot to the conversation. We truly appreciate your suggestion and the thoroughness of your analysis. Thanks again for taking the time to share your expertise and for your kind words regarding our analysis. Your point about the team looking over-coached and indecisive at the beginning of the match is particularly interesting. Over-preparation can hinder natural play on the field, and shifting players out of their club positions can add complexity and hesitation. As you mentioned, Alyssa Naeher experience as a goalkeeper is valuable, but she needs to improve in coming out for crosses and cutting downs. It's super important to have a steady team before the Olympics. The SheBelieves Cup and Gold Cup were great opportunities to adjust the strategy and improve understanding among the players, but there's still room for improvement.
I watch FAWNL but I sadly couldn't bear to watch US team. Not after the drama they did with that Rapinoe bullshit. need more time before i could watch this team without being reminded of that.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. Discussions about the US Women's National Team can get pretty intense. It's normal to feel conflicted about watching them after all that happened. But we hope that with time, you fully enjoy watching them again. We're happy to have you in our community and appreciate your input.
Thanks for your comment. We really appreciate it! Supporting a team is all about finding common ground. Sports bring us together no matter our beliefs or backgrounds. Your support is a personal choice, and it's okay to seek alignment with your values.

The Europeans are ahead.
Women's soccer in Europe has seen impressive progress in recent years. A potential Olympic matchup between the US and Spain would be exciting since they're both such powerhouses.
@@Womenssoccerhub For sure, don t forget about France, England, Netherlands

Thanks for asking! Christen Press has been out of action due to a severe injury, and her return date is unclear. She will be a valuable addition to the team when she's fully fit.

I would love to see USA play Spain….
There's a chance of them playing each other at the Olympics!
A match between those two teams would be intense and amazing! We might see it happen in the Olympics. Do you think it's possible?
Both teams have a real shot at making it through the group stage. If they end up playing against each other, it'll be a nail-biter.
*VAR - there was no VAR - would had disallowed the Japanese goal. It was clearly an offside goal, but it was a friendly match. Would the Japanese player have beaten Tierna Davidson by playing fairly? Not in your lifetime.*
The play was fast, and detecting the offside with no VAR would be hard. But in the end, a friendly match is more about overall performance and, in this case, preparing for the Olympics.
No, it was clearly an onside, you talking about VAR ? The Canadian referee was totally unfair throughout this game. Thank you.
My observations of this game.....I would have hoped to see more young players in action.....like Lily Johannes, Eva Gaetino......I said before and I'm still saying again....Jaedyn Shaw is the most talented player on this US roster, she is outright deadly from about 20-25 yds, The goal she scored is a testimony of her incredible talent......Coffey passed the ball to her and Jaedyn with one touch put the ball right in front of her right foot, putting herself in a scoring position....two touches (first touch putting the ball right in front of her right foot....and the second touch which it was her shot on goal) she scored a beautiful goal.....I watched the other attackers trying the same touches, but they never were able to put themselves in scoring position.....Horan comes to mind and Swanson also missed their chances, for they blew their first touch and never could put themselves in scoring position.... I say it again the center forward position should go to Jaedyn Shaw, that position belongs to her due to the incredible intuition, and impeccable execution following the first touch...... The other observation is.....the US team still misses a bunch of their chances, they better start scoring in a hurry, once Emma takes over she wants to see goals, not missed chances... I was disappointed watching this Japan team.....honestly I did expect a lot more from them, this team was just a shadow of last year's team......they scored early, but pretty much bunker mentality followed, thus surrendering the US team the initiative..... I hope I see the younger players in action in the second game.....especially now, that Naomi Girma is out, Eva Gaetino who plays for PSG should play, and I would love to see Lily Johannes at midfield as well.....and I hope the US team destroys this Canadian team, thus putting a stop of the whining after losing the last game against the US due to that sloppy field in the Gold Cup.......thx for my rant, and Go USA.....
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the SheBelieves Cup match. We totally agree with you about Jaedyn Shaw's talent - she's awesome! As you mentioned, it'd be cool to see younger players like Lily Johannes and Eva Gaetino getting their chance too. The US team could definitely work on their finishing, but hopefully with a new coach like Emma coming in, they'll get better at it. Can't wait for the next game and, hopefully, see some of the younger talent in action. Go USA, and keep the comments coming!

Also, how do you see the landscape of women's soccer evolving in the coming years, especially with the increasing visibility and investment in leagues worldwide?
On the day Manchester burned red and blue, a new heroine was born to the blue team. Her name is Park. She's a cute little girl.
Jess Park was impressive in the game and seriously impacted City's overall performance. She constantly pressed and bothered United's defenders, displaying her skills and versatility. Park controlled the midfield, made precise passes, and scored from different angles. What are your thoughts on Jess Park's future at Manchester City? Do you believe she will continue to grow and make a significant impact on the team's success in the WSL?
