Tick-Tock Tune-Up: Fixing Your 3rd Gen 4Runner Clock
Find out how to fix the clock in your 3rd gen 4runner. I'll show you how to separate it from the bezel, open it up, and two different methods to fix it! Both methods are easy, but one does require a special tool - a soldering iron. I'll talk a little about electronics so you don't fry anything and the rest is easy. Then we can test it before we reinstall everything.

    Just did this yesterday. Did you end up with a washer at the top of the front strut jingling after install? I can’t get the top nut tightened down enough to stop. It’s like the nut has bottomed out on the threads and there is a gap where the washer just jingles with every vibration. And those replacement bushings cracked as I had to hammer them on 😂 You made it look so easy!

      @@jacobjacinto8064 the first gens are 2000-2006 I believe. I’m planning on doing a tundra break swap pretty soon. But I’m not sure if everything are direct swap. I would assume so because the entire knuckle in the front is the same. I just bought Bilstein 5100s and Old man emu 883s and 891s for a 2.5” lift. It’s a bit more expensive but from my research it’s worth paying more for nicer shocks and springs

    6:38 Thank you for the hint, I spent all day trying to get the clip out, I thought it was a screw and try to get behind it, and then I watched your video I found the only function for the clip is for one person to install the mechanism, I have a diamond cutter that looks like a pipe, with the diamond around the tip of it, I just cut fingers off and railing was released. Nobody talks about it, they say it is hard to remove but it took 15 seconds to get rid of it.

    Dude! What an awesome tutorial. Absolute quality!! Thank you. A tip I just taught myself while doing this, thanks to you and others, on the notch cut of the T3 x 8mm neowedge LED. Another option to notch cutting the socket of the new LED, reuse the old one. The fit is premium. Untwist the legs of the old incandescent bulb and remove from OEM socket. Then untwist the legs of the SMD and remove it from its aftermarket shit socket. Feed them back into the OEM socket, twist the legs back to their original arraingment and Voila. Perfect fitting LED's. Side note one of the OEM sockets is longer than the other and it will need to be trimmed to fit the short legs of the SMD's.

      If you didn't make the motor turn with it not installed, it should still be fine. Otherwise you will need to drop the motor far enough out of the frame for it to run without engaging the cables.

      If you are squeezing the little catch in the middle of the connector all the way it should come out pretty easy, but if its stuck you can use a small flatblade screw driver and gently use a twisting motion between the two halves of the connector working back and forth on both sides of the catch.

    Hello, I am a subscriber from Korea. Recently, I'm really into 4Runner, so I am considering importing one because we don't have it in Korea. My biggest concern is how to find a good car remotely. Could you recommend a good way to find a car remotely?

    • @coffeecola433
      @coffeecola433 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Would you also recommend a budget for the 4Runner 3rd gen? Actually, I don't really care about the interior or exterior; I just need a car that operates well technically.

    • @stusch1027
      @stusch1027 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I really don't have any experience with importing. If you're looking over here online and find something you like, you could look for a local company (same city and state) that does pre-purchase inspections and they should be able to verify the car is good. Also have them check out the frame to make sure its not rusting out. I would look for a ad that has a many pictures as possible. as for budget, 6-10k USD would get you a good running 4runner, obviously the nicer the interior/ exterior the more it'll cost. When you start talking about actually doing the import, I would guess you need a company local to you that understands the process.

      That's what mine did too. Before I removed the sunroof I pulled the motor off the frame and it operated in both directions.
