A conversation with SusanMorgan Cooper, a social jutice filmmaker
มุมมอง 910 หลายเดือนก่อน
The award winning documentary film director and producer, Susan Morgan Cooper, grew up in a tiny village in Wales where her parents produced plays to raise money for charity. Shortly after arriving in America, she landed a small role in a Clint Eastwood film, but found film editing more fascinating than acting. In 1991, when Susan met a 16-year-old girl from Croatia, displaced by The Balkan War...

The dishonest content of this film of 500 years, is that people protesting against corruption and impunity in 2015, are shown as loyal to indigenous peoples causes of land, repressión, genocida, and that is totally wrong. The movement started by the investigation of CICIG the UN commission against impunity, then follow by urban, middle class and most of them, ladinos or mestizos demanding the ressignation, justice and accountability of the President and Vicepresident, and nothing to do with the genocide case of Rios Mont. And therefore Irma Alicia, or Andrea Ixchiu are good entertainers but totally disnohest if they want to recreate a causality with CICIGs result and Guatemalan uprise. . They are just taken credits of their mediocre actions and that is called PLAGIARISM and Intelelectual disnohesty.. And Pamela should know better about this, can´t lie to Guatemalans, you can confuse europeans and Americans but in Guatemala, you might become a joke, and be accused of just making money from the indigenous pain and suffer.

Australia hasn't kept you by force don't talk shit. You were safe in Iran and in PNG

It's you who's talking nonesense, you racist! Of course they are kept forcefully; they cannot go back to their country of origin because their lives is in danger (otherwise they would have left after all the pain and affliction) and it's not justice to leave and settle them in PNG because they were never bound for PNG nor did they ever pass through it; they were taken there by force and are incarcerated there... And PNG is not a safe country culturally for these people: once there was an attack to the camp by PNG people who were carrying cold weapons like swords and clubs and as a result, many were injured (some permanently) and one was killed... The whole shit is against all the international laws and it is against the human rights. Seeking asylum is a human right and these people have the right to stand in trial and be judged justly by a lawful court. If the Australian government is reluctant to accept them as refugees in Australia, it should deport them to a second safe country where they can place their UN refugee applications and be resettled via UN processing. Matter of fact the NewZealand government has requested many many times to take these refugees and process them, but the Australian government has refused, just because it is using these innocent people as a human shield to deter others from seeking asylum to Australia! How cruel and inhumane is that...! The fact that Australia has not ever allowed the UN envoys and the International Amnesty emissaries to these camps in Manus and Nauru (systematic censorship) shows that things are going very wrong there beyond belief!
