Afar makes me feel uncomfortable. It's sounds Somali but it is not which is weird😂😂
lost cushites love from somali
Sidamo almost sounds like persian
I am so happy we still have people who speak these ancient languages. Hopefully with AI advancing we are able to preserve these languages forever. I am not a religious person and have no ties to the middle east but I think it's vital for us to support and maintain these people's culture forever.
Afar like af may somali

These men that claim to speak Jesus language actually don’t they speak turyoyo they r Aramean it’s a dialect of Assyrian language which is Syriac Aramaic which is modern
@@sarausage There is no Assyrian language. All the Assyrians have is the Aramaic language. And before they started using Aramaic, they spoke Akkadian.
It sound like a fusion of arabic and ancient hebrew

Why do assyrians/arameans/chaldeans whatever their name is wear the "Keffieh" or "ghutra" or "Egal" which is considered a very bedouin/nomadic Arabian head clothing..?
Different meaning because women wear them for church and stuff. It's been a tradition for thousands of years. Infact it even had an influence on Muslims so than their women also wore them but not the same.

Somali oromo anfar Viva
As salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah, Please can you translate to english for us? Jazakallah khair.
Oromo sounds like Amharic. Somali and Afar are closer to each other.
Key word here is sounds. Amharic is a Semitic language and Oromo Cushitic (like Afar and Somali). Amhara should sound more like Tigrigna and Tigre but it has lost its Semitic features we find in the 2 latter ones.
@@Sidek0 did you just give example of cushatic oromo the somali and afar you must be tripping. Somali language is stand alone language in fact oromo has alot of loan words from somali lnaguage so are afar language.

Beautiful languages but I honestly doubt they're Afrasian...
By the newest linguistic consesus they are, there was some doubts in the past but with more grammatical info now and some comparison it's very likely afrasian and have some archaic traits that helped knowing stuff about the other branches. But omotic is very likely the first branch to split off from the family. PAA probably was spoken by a natufian-like people in northeast africa "as a berbero-semitic late sub-branch is very likely given the shared features + semitic being likely from the Harifian culture which had a major northern nile valley influence" The linguist lipenski in his book about the semitic languages had this hypothesis long before near-confirmation by some linguistic and genetic evidence. Northern and southern afrasians are basically the two direction along the nile valley. And every expansion away from fertile places is associated with pastoralism "berbers, chadics, semites (circum-arabian pastoral complex from the yarmoukian, levant pastorals) and later cushites and semites who went to arid arabia (hismaic, taymanitic, thamudic)
@@bezbezzebbyson788 I haven't found any recent articles on Omotic and I looked a couple times these past few months. Could you send me the links? I've read lipenski and the passage in question. Maarten Kossmann has also released articles on the close relationship between berber and semitic languages For northwest africa, there's an increase of levantine admixture in the mid/late neolithic, most likely brought by pre-libyco-berber pastoralists.
@@bezbezzebbyson788 What kind of language do you think the Iberomaurusians of Taforalt spoke? Also, in which direction do you think was the geneflow between Natufians and Iberomaurusians?
@@bezbezzebbyson788it is probably influenced grammatically from Afrasian neighbors
@@SaintFortI personally believe they spoke something like the Chadic branch of AA, but when Green Sahara became a desert they started immigrating south and mixing with non AA populations.

"Sing ye of the goddess, the most fearsome of the gods". You can find the entire thing by searching for Ammi Ditanas hymn Istar read by K. Hecker

Afar sounds much closer to Somali than Oromo. I’m surprised by that.
i agree, i thought oromo would sound closer, maybe this is a dialect thing
@@al-qarawiyyinI think because oromo is more influenced by other Ethiopian languages pronunciation wise.
I think pronounciation also makes a big difference. Phonetically modern day orominya appears to have been influenced by amharic. It has lost the phonemes that somali and afar share with arabic and has adopted some of the phonemes unique to the semetic languages of ethiopia. E.g., im pretty sure i heard the cha- sound the ts sound that are pretty common to amharic.
@@mahadali2739 From Cushitic languages only Afar & Somali speakers pronounce this sounds because of Arabic influence ፦ ሓ X ح ዓ C ع ቃ Q ق Oromo is influenced by Amharic in West & Harari in the east so they adopted ቸ ፥ ጨ ፥ ጸ ፥ ኽ
