Hi, this is very old video but I'm looking for more info about this riser. Any document or any source of data would be great.

You must be running lean or using 10% Nitro or something, where is the smoke? :)

Nice to see the Nexus 30 still flying, restored my Nexus 30-s and I'm thinking about putting it into a new Century / Funkey Bell 222 fuselage. I put three coats of water based polyurethane on the wood sections, and half of my say just go electric, but eh $100-$200+ for a battery charger, $100 for a motor, plus buying the swift 16 / NX from century has me going Ehh.. Nitro costs allot, but I really enjoy building the models more than flying. lol But we shall see, I'm installing the retracts tonight with a JR MatchBox and sold 3 JR servos (I know you can use just 2, but eh going with 3, seems setup for it, there is a servo try for both left an right rear retracts) unlike what is shown in the install guide.. That and I ordered a servo speed reducer to get that scale retract deploy looks (i.e. slow). What would you suggest, save up for electric? Or should just use the Nexus 30, sadly parts are getting hard to find for this RC helicopter:( Plus I never found it to be the best flying machine, in-fact it flew better when it was in a scale fuse I got just made for it. Got rid of allot of vibrations from the cheap frame, and I guess it liked the extra weight.

Well I bit the bullet, ordered a Align Trex 500 with a AH-1 scale fuselage, got a good deal on it being that model is going out of production. But I got one that has never been flown or setup, complete with instruction manuals, two motors, ESC, two sets of blades, gyro and battery for $600. This should get me into the world of electric helicopters.:) I love Nitro based helicopters still but I am really looking forward to less vibrations from using an electric motor vs a fuel based engine with a crankshaft the produces vibrations, also less time tuning the engines. Nitro fuel is going for $45 a gallon shipped!, I can get a battery for this helicopter that cost eh $110 and get 300+ flights out of it before it starts to degrade in performance. Sounds allot cheaper to me, so I best switch on over. Still going to fly my nitro helis but, ahh everyone has gone electric. Best I get in the game as well.

hi it's because the string is placed to one side of the riser usually with the bow window. so your eye only focuses on the sight pin. also the peep its considered like an extra help by the judges so if youre goin to compete on a tournament you cant use it. by the other way the compound bows need the peep cause the string cross exactly the center of the bow and you can't move it to one side, thats why they need the peep to see trough the string. hope it helps

CG was out!! Plane was nose heavy and kept dipping down. The best way to tell if a plane is to nose heavy is when you go inverted and the plane falls out then your to nose heavy. I notice you were on the elevator the whole time. Not good for any sevo to be constantly opperated and the nose dipping giving the servo constand load. Just from experience thats all. Cheers.

@blackfeatherarchery Hello, i don't get on with peep sights. i prefer using my nose as point of contact.I also have a clicker mounted on the riser which lets me know when I am at full draw.
