I used Disney’s new Premier Pass so you don’t have to! Let’s start off with the basics. We did not start riding rides until the park was open to all guests at 9am, and I had ridden every ride in the park within 5 hours - including 2 rides on Tiana! Longest line of the day? @starbucks for sure. Would I use Premier Pass again? Probably not. I could have done all of the same stuff with a little bit more time using Single Pass and Multi Pass! We were upgraded at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge from a 1 bedroom suite to a 2 bedroom suite and oh my word this room was EVERYTHING! 3 Beds + a pull out ✅ 2 bathrooms + a giant soaker tub ✅ Full kitchen with dishwasher ✅ Huge Balcony ✅ In room laundry ✅ Drop zone for your stuff ✅ I would LOVE to stay at Wilderness Lodge for a staycation! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has a Christmas display that is rarely mentioned but is so particularly beautiful! The combination of unique African-inspired design elements, festive decor, and immersive atmosphere really is more unique than any other display at Walt Disney World! The lodge itself is a stunning blend of natural materials, with large wooden beams, stone fireplaces, and African artwork, which creates a cozy yet exotic environment. Then for the holiday season, this setting is enhanced with cultural influence - the decorations reflect African traditions, with touches like handcrafted ornaments, tribal patterns, and vibrant colors. The lighting, including grand Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and lanterns, blends seamlessly with the natural elements of the lodge. And then the real stars : Christmas trees at Animal Kingdom Lodge are often adorned with hand-crafted ornaments that tie into the African and animal-themed elements. The trees themselves are large, dramatic, and beautifully decorated just like in the footage shown here! The devices just put up today (on my checkout day!) and I’m so happy we got to see it before our departure! It’s one of the last trees on property to go up! There are a lot of things to learn at Disney World, so let’s break a few of those down. Single Rider Lines are available on select Disney rides essentially to fill space. If you enter the Single Rider Line, you will be paired with another person who does not fill a space (think a party of 5 in 3 rows and you become number 6). Single Rider does not guarantee a shorter line but it often is. Rider Swap is a feature that lets parents swap out so that everyone gets to ride an attraction if for example a child is too small or afraid to ride. Everyone must check in at the attraction and follow the procedures but you don’t have to wait in line twice. Lightning Lane (RIP Fast Pass) is a paid service that gives you access to a shorter line for some rides. Lightning Lane may be available with the purchase of Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, Lightning Lane Single-Pass or Lightning Lane Premier Pass. These can be added to your package 7 days prior to check in if you’re staying on site, or 3 days prior to your park day if you are staying off property. Lightning Lane Premier Pass is only available to guests of Disney Deluxe Resorts. Standby Queue is the regular ol’ line that is available for all rides (except those two remaining Virtual Queues).
