This is my first time on a drag strip...ever. Texas Motorplex. 2015 Mustang GT w xpipe and Roush axle back. Everything else stock. Street tires. Baddddddd wheel hop. I launched at 3500 rpm. I need drag radials bad lol 😂 Got a .096 reaction time and ran a 13.8 @ 108 mph. Lots of improvements to be made but I had a blast!

Ciao mike io ho una jl 2020 e non ho il sedile riscaldato, quale fusibile devo usare per collegare il filo??? F52?
Thank you for watching! You would use either F57 or F58. Those are the fuses for the heated seats.
@@everydayjeeper6583 My jeep doesn't have the standard heated seats, can I use them anyway??? Thank you
@@gianlucagrimaldiphotograph Im not sure. You could check to see if there any power at the fuse box at those 2 fuse locations. If there’s not, you could probably use another fuse location that has power when the engine is turned on.
@ ok thank
So I have a 2021 80th anniversary trim and I looked on my connectors and do have 6 slotted and 4 of them have metal prongs insert just as the 4 prongs on the headlight. Do I just need a tazer to activate the halo?
Thanks for watching! You could try it and see if that works.
Good explained and clear! Mike for the fuze tap. The oem halos uses 10 or 20 amp fuse?
Thank you for watching man! I used a 20 amp fuse.
Thank you Mike! 🙌🏻
@@vicj04 No problem 😊
Great, informative video. Question - is this the only option for 2020 models with 3 pins on both headlights now that the harness (68347117AB) is discontinued? Does the 1' harness (68414409AB) provide any use/value in this situation or is that more for 2021+ models that have 3 pins on one side and 4 on the other? I'm happy to make the wiring as you've outlined in your video but just want to confirm there are no other options using OEM/MOPAR wiring harnesses/jumpers. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! If you can find it and want to buy the OEM harness, that should also work. The benefit to doing it the way I did just saves some money.
@@everydayjeeper6583 Couldn't find the harness so I followed the steps in your video and had this done in :45 minutes. The halos work flawlessly. Thank you for your valuable contribution to the Jeep community!
@@jimimongGlad to hear!! 😁
I have Rubicon 2019 .It has Mopar headlights with halo, and i did add the fourth wier same steps as you did, but it's still not working. What i did wrong?
Thanks for watching! Honestly, I have no idea why it wouldn’t be working on yours 🤷♂️ Maybe a loose connection?
How do you run power to the actual headlight ? My head light has 3 male pins not 4
Thanks for watching! Mine only had 3 as well but that’s why you add the new wire as shown in the video. That new wire is your 4th.
@@everydayjeeper6583 I understand that bit.. but how is wire giving power to the main lamp ?
@@martin.putrus The only thing the 4th pin/wire is for is to provide power for the halo. The headlight gets power from one of the other 3 pins that are already in the connector.
@@everydayjeeper6583 😆 I understand what you’re saying but I’m still not getting it if that makes sense.. how’s the hailo not working with the previous wires? Sorry for questioning
@@martin.putrus The halo won’t work if you only have the 3 wires in your headlight connector. You have to add the 4th wire for the halo to work. Not sure if that’s what you’re asking but I think it is lol
Hello , useful vid , i got a 2020 jl , i have led headlights and when i checked the back of the headlights it was just three pins - so if i do like what you did im still without the o ring working , do you know what to do ? Or you niticed how many pins in between the back of the headlights and the connector that you added ?
Do you have factory LED headlights or aftermarket? If they’re aftermarket and have a halo ring, it should work if you add the additional wire like I did in the video.
I have the factory led headlights
@@hasanmahajna2339 The factory LED’s should definitely work by adding 4th wire. Make sure all your connections are good with the new wire you added, at the headlight and the fuse tap and fuse box.
is there a way to tie this into the wiring for the gladiator bed lights? meaning if I use the bed lights switch on the gladiator itself (and not an Aux switch) have some extra bed lights come on?
Hey Frank, thanks for watching! I didn’t try that but now that you mention it, that might also work by splicing into the factory bed lights wires. Try that at your own risk tho with these computer controlled vehicles we have nowadays lol.
Great video Mike! Do you have any flickering issues with your high beams on?
Thanks! No I haven’t had any issues at all. You might check the connections to make sure they’re all making good contact.
Mike, brother. Thank you so much for this video! My halos work flawlessly! I’m so happy I did this instead of wiring up to the BCM.
13:51 is the best pic of the route to the fuse box I have ever seen. You don’t know how many videos I have searched looking for this… 13:51 13:51 13:51
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Excellent explanation, well done. What fuse did you put in it? Is it a cigarette generator or a mattress warmer?
Thanks for watching! I used the seat heater fuse in the fuse box.
What kind of wires did you use? Gauge or what not? Or does it not matter?
Thanks for watching! If I remember correctly, I think it was 18 gauge wire.
@@everydayjeeper6583 thank you!
So you didn’t have to run anything to the panel on the passenger side interior like it has you do with the mopar harness? Just the 2 power wires from each light to the fuse tap?
Yes Sir, just the 2 power wires from each light to the fuse tap. Thank you for watching!
What front bumper do you have
It’s a replica of the Mopar steel bumper that I got cheap on Amazon. Not as good quality as OEM and the paint faded in less than a year so I repainted it with spray bed liner. The bed liner spray has held up for 3 years lol. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!
Hi great vid! Will the halos stay on if you left the headlight switch on Auto? Thanks again for this DIY 👍🏻
Yes, the halos will light up anytime the engine is on. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the ingenious workaround for the halos and for taking the time to create and share this video! I bought these same Mopar LED takeoffs for my father-in-law's 2018 JL. He doesn't currently care about the halo, so I'm guessing it should just be a plug-and-play install, but it's nice to know that we can easily wire these up, if needed. Question: Did you need to use a Tazer to program your Jeep for the basic headlights (low and high beams) to function correctly with no flicker?
Thanks for watching! I already had the superchips tuner so I just set the LED headlights to on with the tuner. I never tried the LED’s without the tuner so I’m not sure if they would’ve flickered or not. But I figure they would without the tuner.
@@everydayjeeper6583 where did you get that tuner? I bought an led mopar and the passenger side flickers and shuts off once in a while.
from where did you get the fenders led lights ?
Thanks for watching! I got them on Facebook marketplace not long after I bought the truck.
Hi, my Light only have 3 pins. How many pins do you have on your light?
Thanks for your comment! Mine only had 3 as well. You only need the 4th pin if you want the halos to illuminate, which is shown in the video.
Great video. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
The fuses are the same amount 20a?
Yes, the fuse is 20A. Thanks for watching!
Do you have to do the same to the other side and you kind of lost me at about the 12:16 mark where are all the wires that are showing what are those for and what are they running to? im a little lost
Thanks for watching and for the question! The 2 blue wires are the halo wires from both headlights. I connected them to the white wire that I then ran to the fuse tap. Then plugged the fuse tap into the heated seat fuse in the fuse box.
Did you have to use tazer to get them to work once you had them wired?
I have the superchips tuner and just turned on halos with it. I already had it turned on with the previous Amazon halo headlights I was running before I got the Mopars.
@@everydayjeeper6583 I just finished the install today using this method. Was actually pretty easy for me to get those clips off and back on to install that 4th pin. Thank you very much for this video. I would 100% recommend this method to anyone wanting to try this install.
@@sportshead428 That’s great! Glad those clips worked easy for you. The drivers side was a little easier for me but probably because I was trying to video the passenger side lol. Thanks for the follow up! 😁👊
thanks for the video! Is that by any chance going to interfere or cause any problems down the road for the heated seats or anything else by not going through the firewall?
@Mark Manalo Thanks for watching! I had aftermarket LED’s with halos wired up using the fuse tap for a couple of years before I got the Mopar LED’s and didn’t have any issues. Using the heated seat fuse is a common method of tapping into power with a fuse tap. 👍
@@everydayjeeper6583 Great DIY! Do you have to have heated seats for this to work?
@@catkidz8734 Thanks! No, I don’t think you have to have heated seats. I’ve heard you can still use the fuse for the heated seats even if you don’t have them.
Hey Wanted to ask I have mopar halo headlamps but it’s a European spec. So it has three pins only on the headlamps. So can you please tell if you can show me or tell how many pins you had on your jeep headlamps
Is there anywhere you can place the fuse besides the heated fuse tap? My jt has a heated seat.

Looks like God's Country out there!
Steven Ross It definitely is!
Were you using launch control?
Govanni Sainvil yes I was 😁
Sounds awesome man! One question though, I already have a x-pipe and I plan to install this axle back but does it drone? Some people on the forums says so but most said it doesn't.
KillerTX1 Thanks man! I can't say there is zero drone, but so close to no drone, you might as well say no drone. When the engine is cold, there's a little drone when going thru the gears at 2k rpm but once it's warmed up, drone is gone. Then on the highway at the same rpm, (if you've ever ran flowmasters, the drone is 80% annoying level). this setup would rank like a 5% in my opinion. Very tolerable. But the main thing about the roush axle back and x pipe, it is loud! But sounds awesome 👍🏼 I hope that helps!
She sounds good brother!
moostang09 Thanks man! At least I know she's got a healthy baseline now. I'm hoping to go Procharger soon.
