In my small garden this week I managed to eliminate more of the pests that wreak havoc in my garden beds or under pots etc. If you haven't tried this method then I encourage you to give it a go if you have the same problem. They looked like alpine strawberries, no Vine Weevils . The straw bales do rot down really quickly, but great material to start a new bed and they do take alot of water to keep them moist. 🍁🍂Happy gardening, Terry King.

      @downundervlogs 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hello Terry! Funnily enough I was inspecting the roots of the strawberries because I remember you had that problem and I thought maybe I do since the strawberries were only tiny and theyve been in for 2 years. The straw bales have also been in for 2 years just gone. Not bad to have them in the raised bed even though they have sunk. Maybe 1 or 2 more seasons then I will retop them up again. Thanks for stopping by. 😊🫶Cheryl

    I almost picked up a cordless vac at Costco on sale, still around $400. Went on line for cordless vac reviews and picked up a Kenmore for just under $150. Two speeds like yours, but honestly, the low speed is kinda useless. The high speed does a good job, but the battery lasts for only about 15 min, no spare. Overall very happy for the convenience of not dragging out the heavy canister vac, although my dog still hates it, lol. Have a nice weekend, Stay Well!!!

    Terrific harvest of castings! How long since the last harvest? I made a CFT bin out of a 55 gal barrel last Jan, went to harvest from below, the castings were like mud, think I will have to do what you just did and try again. Posted a video on harvesting my outdoor 50 gal grow bag bins, th-cam.com/video/EdWDH0zlwCo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xXuswEBVEE_VUorL you might be interested in, skips screening out the worms from the castings. I do screen the finished castings to use the chunky material to inoculate new bedding. New subscriber, found a bunch of fellow worm lovers in your comments that I am familiar with. Stay Well!!!

      Thanks brianseybert for sharing, I have collected the castings out of the tray before and they are like moist clay like mud. I end up just making worm tea out of it and run it through a strainer to collect any worms. That is why I usually just harvest the whole bin at once just to only have compost. Welcome to my channel, I have a bit of everything on here. I'll head over and watch your video. Cheers Cheryl 😊
