This just shatters the gender inequality talk and me stuff movement. Let’s just say that not many mid fifties guys that work at Home Depot have this happen to them , it’s the planes , money and good digging , you know stuff since the birth of time
I was in business Korea when I watched this movie. I was dating my girlfriend and this movie made me reflect a lot about my relationship. Finally I went up broke up with her.

I watched this movie 12 years ago! Because I was having same feelings build up for dating an older man ! And now I’m married after dating 5 years I’m 25 and partner is 60. Yes 35 years difference. I used to think I could hurt now or later. But the feelings, the similarities , love made me decided to wait.
In my opinion, a 20 year old with a 55 year old is not dating, it's an old man being predatory and taking advantage of a young girl's lack of experience in the world. Because I was once a 20 year old girl, and a 25 year old girl, getting involved with older men, and seeing nothing wrong with it. But now that I'm in my 40s, I see that I was niave - which makes sense, because 20 or 25 is still so very young, so of course I was niave.
I love how it is not like today’s violent stories. I was actually wondering when Steve was going to murder or hurt her, considering how he held her wrist, as if he was measuring them to determine what’s best to torture her. His also watching her apartment with his binoculars and lying to get her address without her approval. Sad, huh? That today’s society has gotten us used to violence. Very nice story.
I read the book, and I enjoy the film too,and I'm not into "chick flicks."It is a tender love story,I like Jeremy, kinda kookie, sweet, goofy guy, who's heart is in the right place...Martin seemed a little creepy to me,he really never loved her, till she was gone
Max Little both of you are wrong... she loved the rich guy, but the oldie there just wanted sex and no serious with her... the poor guy changed (from the first time she was seen him, lost interest in him and dated the old guy mean while) and she ended up with him..
Every time I see Steve Martin in a serious role, I think of him as Jacques Clouseau in The Pink Panther and Laugh my ass off xD His face makes every movie funny no matter what role he's in xD
I didn't understand this movie when I first watched but as it went along then it began two, lol the older guy gets you the riches the poorer gives you one thing, protection.
I got me at “ private plane food “ 😝😅
No saben hacer trailers. La película es hermosa. La vi en el cine y aún la recuerdo con cariño.

Jeremy is fun guy 😂❤
Pelicula fantastica
Wonderful romantic comedy. This movie is like an assembly of Lost in Translation and A Lot Like Love
Giuro che questo è il film più brutto che abbia mai visto

@@Julia-nl3gq How judgemental. How others live is their business. Not everyone is 20 at 20.
Very underrated film

I had no idea that this movie existed. Where have I been? Now, I remember working 2 jobs. Time for Rewind Viewing.
Pretty sure I heard The Notwist, Explosions in the Sky, and Death Cab in there. Instantly pacified.

Spoken like a true romantic.
i love older guys
BC or AD ?
without watching the movie i can already tell she will go for the poor lad
It seems like there should be a third option for her. Like maybe a good looking guy, around her age, who is smart, mature, and financially stable.
Max Little both of you are wrong... she loved the rich guy, but the oldie there just wanted sex and no serious with her... the poor guy changed (from the first time she was seen him, lost interest in him and dated the old guy mean while) and she ended up with him..
