The first day motoring the boat went pretty well...more maneuverable than I expected. no prob bob.
No damage to the front as well which for sure could have been a possibility If the ropes would have been incorrectly tied to the dock. You clearly know what to do in an emergency situation. Very educational. Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
We did in fact get through it...although we have a lot to learn still. I think it was good for us...it will make me more comfortable for future storms.
Glad to see channel back!
What's your draft?
We are in the Bay Area, CA...we have very old sails...they all have to be updated. They would probably sail now for a while, but we have a ways to go to learn how to properly sail this boat. I am skilled at motoring it and we will learn in time. We will do ASA classes...all of this is going to take a while...probably a couple years before we would be ready to go far. The boat has a fuel capacity of 170 gallons...it doesn't go fast but it can motor at least 800 miles...we do intend to sail the boat when we can eventually.
How did you find the channel?
California?
Do you have sails?
Where are you?
Do you 0:34 “go very fast” because poor Crystal looks likes she’s carrying most of the gear? 😂
Nahh...about half. I carried the dreaded bear can.
I was just very excited to be almost there and went really fast.
Yeah !!!
Why outboard motor? Does the boat's motor not run?
The outboard is for the dinghy...it wouldn't do much for the boat. The main engine runs pretty good so far...it was overhauled within the last ten years and hasn't seen a lot of use.
Boat!
❤super cool dude!!!
