Because I really do believe Monk has a little crush on Sharona. Perhaps a big one, he just doesn’t know it yet. Personally I ship them together, because their relationship is just so much fun. They play games, are competitive with one another, and they bicker like an old married couple. It’s hilarious and it’s beautiful. Sharona is his best friend when you think about it.
