Hii! I was looking forward to finally share a proper post regarding how I have learned English, Japanese and Mandarin (especially JP and CN!). Gotta admit that this video is kind of a mess thought because I had no ACTUAL script and I got too into it sometimes so sorry if I did not make sense sometimes! Please feel free to leave comments and ask as many questions as you would like🫶🏽 ALSO forgot ...

How long you been learning Chinese?
@@jarellemason7291 A year and a half
I swear by anki, has helped me learn 4 languages already, you just have to have a structure as to which kind of words or grammar you are learning, I never thought about CC with chinese vlogs, might give it a try, I watch cdramas that way hahaah kinda tough
Hi, I very like your vidéo! For the next time , can you put english subtitiles ?

Please do a video on vrchat 🙏 I'm learning Korean and find it hard to approach people to start talking 😅
@@cpt4826 definitely open to do a VRChat video haha. The thing is its been like 4 years I have not played properly so i cant say much about how is the game currently but i can talk about my personal experience
I have been self-studying Japanese for around 8 months. One question I have is how do you go about retaining kanji? Do you just have a read a lot until they eventually click? I get annoyed when I try to read something in Japanese that I should know but I forget how to read the kanji. The second I see the furigana I feel dumb lmao.
@@drago9606 yes with kanji, I personally did lots of reading (on social media and with the gameplays) also lots of researching if I ever came out with a question. So yeah I think practice is all that could fix your reading; the more you see characters the more familiar you get with them (hence I changed my phone settings to Japanese when I was learning)
4:07 so real and cute 💕 love you,Kennya !! Hug🥺

i feel much more motivated now, thanks for the video! i like this method of learning as it's always interesting. you basically immerse yourself into your target language and it really works wonders. the best method as for me
@@weiuj love that it gave you some motivation 🥺 best of luck if you plan on learning a new language (:
I absolutely love that you're planning to do videos in other languages. My suggestion is that you add Eng subs since that's a big audience. We don't mind hearing a diff language but if we can't understand we won't be able to concentrate and will lose interest 😅 but your idea is great and you sound very natural without a strict script so I think your videos are very much worth watching 加油 ❤🎉
But you're doing great 👍
Would be great if you had the English subs
Hello, i've learned french and english on my own to fluency and i'm currently learning czech. I agree with most of what ur saying, but i think that once u can understand like most of the video without any subtitles u shouldnt use them at all. As for your video i like the humor but the fact that ur just sitting there and talking is somewhat boring; just some feedback.
@@murataubakir8437 this video is just about my personal experience learning languages as, like i said, many people have asked so apart from me literally sit and talk in detail about it i dont know what else you expect me to do 🥴 and no, I do not plan my future videos being like this either if that’s what you mean.
@@Cloedreams yeah i honestly cant think of another way of presenting it and ur prolly right, but i still have this nagging feeling that this can be done in a more engaging fashion

As a 14 year old, I made huge process in Japanese from beginner(N5) to advanced(N2) in 7 months.
Too that’s crazy, do u have some tips?
@@korlylozzy Proud of you! shows that you found which method works for you as well
@@iawgnialhuukadnas I wouldn't reccomend...unless you determined. 1) Have a lot of motivation(I mean a serious amount) to study Japanese daily and never miss a day no matter what... I would always be studying Japanese even late at night because of school. 2) Use Anki and I study 50 vocab( don't rec if you are determined to do it, it's pretty stressful: 25 should be good) which causes me to spend 1-2 hours on the app. 3) First 2 months no early output(just input) and I started immersing in beginner content to advanced ( I do this to 4-5, JP TH-cam shorts really help.) 4) Read Japanese books and there are very important because they help to build vocabulary and lots of understanding on how that language is used.) (5, most important) Enjoy learning the language! Japanese could be hard but it is always important to meet the goal because if you dont end up meeting it it leads to "無駄になっただろう”. :)読んでくれてありがとうございます。
Wow congrats 👏
Keep going! You're doing great. I also make videos about language learning but in Russian and we definitely have something similar in our approaches. So just keep shooting these cute videos, people really need to hear this stuff. Respect from Russia 🇷🇺 🫡
@@Emboss-ek6nu Thank you so much💙
At 14:33 you say “you have to talk” and that it’s scary. Yes! I’ll check out Hellotalk, or try to, because I have a lot of resistance… For me the best thing is if you encounter people who don’t speak any other language. I sometimes had that in Taiwan. And sometimes in Spain. So then you HAVE to talk the language. But then again… I don’t really WANT to talk to anyone, sooo… It’s a problem! :) I’d be interested to know more tips about how to TALK :D
@@KaiCarver totally agree! when the other person can only speak their native language you do feel the pressure when you are starting 🥴but the good thing about Hellotalk is that you can just text people or when u enter a voiceroom/livestream you are not forced to speak up could just listen and comment if you dont feel confident enough to speak yet :) its nice because its another way you can communicate with them without speaking out
I loved this! Tu eres muy impresionante… I wonder how many people could understand your entire video… I think it’s a pretty small number. So it seems like a guaranteed way not to get a lot of views… But who cares, right? :) Anyway, I really enjoyed this. Recently I’ve been studying a little bit of Japanese on Duolingo (mostly because I wanted to learn how to read it, I love scripts), but of course I couldn’t understand what most of what you said in Japanese. I’ve been studying Chinese for years, so I could sort of follow what you said in Mandarin. The Spanish was OK because I learned Spanish a long time ago and can get by in it. English was fine because I was raised bilingual, French and English, though we are of (very) different generations and probably from different countries, so there’s a cultural gap: I’ve never watched gaming, for example (oh yeah I first saw your learning languages video). Anyway anyway! Bravo!
@@KaiCarver Thank you for your comment!💙 Haha yeah, instead of expecting lots of people to understand the entire video I mainly wanted to show my level on each language before I started posting about my personal experience learning hehe. Woow go you thats so cool! I plan on posting more only JP and only CN videos in the future for people to practice their listening (:
動画を作ってくれてありがとうございます😊 とても素敵! 僕もヒカキンさんの動画が良く見ます いい勉強方法だと思うですね😅
コメントありがとう御座います! ヒカキンさん面白いですねw過去私もよく見てました☺️
I always suggest reading some books at some point. I was pretty good at spanish when I started reading books, and a lot of vocabulary confused me since it wasn't stuff you'd normally hear people say in conversation, but reading really boosted my learning. I'm pretty new to Chinese, but I imagine it's gotta be the same if not even more so that way in Chinese.
Get in the Eva. Shinji.

Hey! I do the exact same method :) The reason I failed to keep up with Mandarin though was because I couldn’t find Mainland Chinese people on Social Media. So is it possible maybe if you do a video on who you recommend to follow? 🥹🙏
@@chrissy4957 Hellotalk is a Chinese app so its full of Mainland Chinese people! there are also apps like Xiaohongshu and Billibilli but to be fair I also found a lot of them on Twitter since many are either living overseas or have a vpn to access apps
a better title would have done better for this vid , something like "My experience of how i learned 4 languages and how you can do the same" for example
That watching gamers in the language you want to learn tip, is so valid, Currently watching a Chinese league player Xaio Loa Bang, and learning alot Also Jesus loves you and God bless. I also want to quickly leave a story about myself with you. I live in a world that tells me "Love yourself no matter what anyone says" found that statement pretty ironic when this God given body of mine at times felt like a prison cell. My entire life was a humilation ritual, and I was covered in my own piss and crap everyday, (im being deadly serious as ridiculous as it sounds) and naturally ive wanted kill myself from like the age of 10 and had couple failed suicide attemps. How could I love myself, I was like radioactive matrial abusing everyones nostrals, My mother contemplated why I was even born, my "friends" were with me out of pity.... I was all alone...... But then all it took for me to Give God a proper chance was for him to tell me "son even if you soil yourself I still Love you" (words nobody in a world that tells me to "Love myself" ever said) and even after all of that I still decided to hate myself and belittle myself and he said this in an audible voice "sual sual why are you persecuting me". Becuase the story of Sual from a murderer to Pual a child of God. So from shame and himilation being my identity, It was washed clean to redeemed saved Loved child of God. dont know what sort of past, or pain, truama, emptiness could be weighing over you, but if he can wash it off Me!? Oh he can certainly do the same for you... just know that even if the world around seems bleak, You have Jesus, call on him. He, Will, Answer.... anyways God bless. Oh and keep it up, Very encourging videos Love you, Jesus Loves you more.
