Just tried it today, still works but sometimes you may have to go higher as kaido might come up to where you are. When I was fighting him, he did so so I climbed a little higher and was able to defeat him without getting hit and so good location btw and ty for the elaboration.

Crazy the second I joined deepwoken someone said “ay wanna help me fight a dread serpent? Or are you gonna be a baby and run off” and I of course said sure I’ll do it but the problem was I never even played deepwoken before and didn’t know anything at all but eventually I somehow managed to kill the dread serpent without dying

Okay just to clear up lots of confusion, this can still work but Kaido can get bugged most of the time. Like he can clip his way up and you might struggle, but sometimes he’ll stay down and it’ll work. You may have to go up higher to kill Kaido. Sorry for all the confusion!
