[Thrift Transformation] I DIY's Old voile Curtains To A 1970s Blouse ♡♡
I still got a haul of old drapery/curtains at home and one lovely lightweight voile material caught my attention and gave me a fabulous idea - to make a light blouse. I especially love their elaborated trimming and I instantly included them as blouse' cuffs. I thought 1970s blouses are superbly well-designed particularly with their wide set collars.
Pretty pleased with the outcome. I will definitely wearing it as a everyday outfit, looking and feeling great!
I'm sorry if the video's quality isn't that great - I'm still learning and trying to make better videos in the future ❤.

I DIY's Bridal Veils And Headpieces For Low Cost (EMBROIDERY)
มุมมอง 2133 ปีที่แล้ว
Everyone knows weddings can be really expensive, and veils are no exception. Even basic veils can run upwards of £100 (I did some research). Unsurprisingly, it's much cheaper to make a DIY version. There are lots of styles to choose from, and they are all very easy to make. Best of all, someone can make the veil exactly how they envisioned it and have the bridal ensemble of their dream! Soft tu...

Absolutely in love with the dress, particularly with the soft ombre effects. Would you look at those soft colours? 🧡 The project is a success and I'm super proud of myself 🤗. From Curtain To Suit (Blazer + Trousers)! - Thrift Transformation
มุมมอง 1.4K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I have LOTS of old drapery, donating from my lovely granny. If you have see the last video about the swing coat, then you probably will know. One of curtains has inspired me to turn it into a full set of suit! Crazy, i know. I'm curious if the curtain turned me into a Bond person with that cool vibe. There is an additional piece that would complete the whole outfit - want to know what is it? Wa...
From Curtain To Coat! Thrift Transformation
มุมมอง 10K4 ปีที่แล้ว
My lovely granny wanted to get rid of old drapery and donated the beautiful collection of curtains to me a few weeks ago. And from that, it inspired me to turn it into a coat! I wondered if this curtain could turn me into Kate Middleton or Audrey Hepburn, with the swing coat style. There were trials and tribulations. . . But did it all work out in the end? You tell me. Thank you granny for maki...
I DIY'd Villanelle's Fabulous Pink Dress From Killing Eve
มุมมอง 6K4 ปีที่แล้ว
I've always wanted to make that dress since I laid my eyes on Killing Eve series one episode two. It's chaotically cute and poofy. Instead of buying a similar ripped-out dress from a shop, I somehow managed to finish it with 9 metres of fabrics with countless gatherings (my hands are wee sore as result). Surprisingly It's looking as fabulous as Villanelle's dress but not quite the same. It was ...

Suggestion: could you tape some of these pattern panels together so that there is less need to sew together. It will also give wider fit, if pattern produces smaller size.

There could be 2 cut panels for front, and 2 cut panels (1 for lining) for back. Should zig zag seam edges so that they do not ravel.

Wow! It turned out fabulous. You did such a nice job and the hand finishing is always going to give your clothing a more professional touch. Tips: I know you ain't asking, but from an old gal that learns the hard way, sometimes tips are game changers... ✓Fray check for fabric that frays. I see doll clothes and learned from someone else and it really helps. ✓ fabric glue - well because I found tubes on sale and they'll last longer than super glue. ✓ make the buttons all the same pattern (if you have enough fabric). ✓ When the coat is inside out, the drapery fabric makes a nice trim... Like if there are leftovers and you make something else. ✓ Great job on the collar flaps. I admire your courage in adapting and moving onward! Well done. Hopefully you're still making videos. Cheers!!

A beautiful fabric. In the he future when you have such a lovely print to work with, use special attention when placing the pattern pieces so that the pattern is continuous and complementary when sewn together. This takes more time, but the result is so worth it.

Very pretty indeed & I like yellow ochre, well done! It's just not a Swing Coat, though. Swing Coats flare out from the shoulder. Yours is a Princess Coat or a Fit & Flare Coat; note the underarm princess seams & fitted waist. These were popular post-WW2 (but rations in UK & Europe made them near-impossible to have there until the 1950s), but they're timeless imho. There's a lovely vintage Vogue pattern reissued from 1948 calling my name atm, it features interesting bracelet-length bell sleeves & a contrast shawl collar (V1738), you may like it too. Currently making a pre-WW2 design, a reissued 1939 V1669, which has darts instead of princess seams. It's Autumn down here atm, so I'm looking forward to wearing it this Winter.

I managed to purchase a duplicate from H&M beachwear via Ebay for about £15 including p&p! It's a slightlt darker sugar pink rather than peach pink, and not as poofie, but the material is very simular with a matt look as the original.
