River Cherwell - Aynho | Canoeing, Wildlife & Exploring
On this trip the river was flooded, with debris blocking parts of the route. Though canoeing was a bit trickier, it was still a great spot for wildlife photography. After paddling through and a very short portage, I boiled some water enjoyed a hot cup of tea while taking in the peaceful surroundings. It was is a small loop that connects to the Oxford Canal and lays mid-Cherwell, meandering through in the Cherwell valley cutting between two villages Adderbury and Anyho. It was just one of those places that you pass by often and look over keenly but never get around to it. Now, I'm happy that I have finally explored this little nook.
The source of the River Cherwell rises from Hellidon, Northamptonshire. The River Cherwell flows southwards for 40 miles (64 km) to meet the Thames at Oxford in Oxfordshire.

Bert on Thames | Canoe Camping in Wild Conditions
มุมมอง 53221 วันที่ผ่านมา
Levi and I went on a one-night camp along the Thames River. The rain and winds were predicted to be high and so I made sure to take the proper precautions before setting off in such a storm. A proper risk assessment and due care should be taken in such conditions. It was a blustery paddle upriver to the campsite. Paddling against the river flow and a strong headwind we were pushed around but ma...

Exploring the wilder side of the Scottish west coast with Levi. We wild camped on a secluded beach for a few days exploring the coastline and taking some beautiful wildlife photography and video. This was our first trip to this particular section of coastline and so a lot of time spent exploring the different areas and getting to know who, what, when and where to be. We were visited daily by wi...
Surfing - The home of the roast on an English coast
มุมมอง 1.9K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
A quick little trip to the English coastline for a surf with my long time buddy from South Africa who is an absolute surf nut. It's so great to have him here in the UK. Excellent waves were had and always great to be on an adventure with a good mate. A great way to get/ stay fit and experience nature in its fullest.
Whispers of Spring | Wildlife Photography

A last minute visit a bit late in the day to a very dark, dank pair of lakes in my area. You could hear the increased birdsong and activity, buds getting ready to open. But there is a stark reminder that winter hasn't quite let go yet. I wanted to try out a my little mirrorless camera thats does 4K (M50 mk1) and see what it could produce with 4K video. I'm thinking about going fully mirrorless ...
Calm beautiful Fallow Deer | Wildlife Photography

A short wildlife photography video capturing peaceful times with these beautiful Fallow Deer here in the United Kingdom. They are in the Rutting season but it seems that order has been installed, everyone has their place and there is peace flowing through the little herd. What a way to start the day - sipping on a cup of coffee and watch these beautiful deer preparing for a nice easy day of slu...
Red Deer Rut | Wildlife Photography

The crisp mornings are edging in and so I took the opportunity to capture some of the excitement of the Autumn rut. There were several stags bellowing with all their might, jostling for alpha position. What a beautiful morning outdoors with a touch of frost and some warming sunshine, time well spent with these beautiful animals.
Deadly Grey Heron | Wildlife Photography

An afternoon down on a little lake in Oxfordshire. I watched this Grey Heron catch multiples of fish with its incredible vision and lightening sharp strikes. The little fish have no chance with this seasoned hunter lurking about.
Wild on the Canal | Wildlife Photography

Wanting to enjoy the cool, calm and serene beauty that the early morning brings, I took my canoe down to my local canal in Oxfordshire. Paddling through the smooth reflecting water, my wildlife photography adventure took a bit of an unexpected twist.
Disturbance on The Lake | Wildlife Photography
มุมมอง 47ปีที่แล้ว
Serenity was broken briefly on the lake early this morning. A mute swan was causing a bit of a disturbance pushing around the other birds. A tense time with birds working together defending their corners, sitting on nests incubating and protecting their precious eggs. Can't wait to see the Grebe chicks when they're out and about. Was an early start, I'd hoped for a glorious sunny start but a ba...

It feels so good to be back in nature and taking in all that it offers. It's been quite a busy time for a while now as I'm sure it has been with many of you too. And so making the time, getting back and re-connecting with the rhythm of nature has been a huge welcome for me as I try to slow things down a little. I had a real moment here and was reminded how much I've missed being more aware and ...
The Peak District UK | Wildlife Photography, Adventure.

The Peak District I’d always wondered what it was like seeing it on the maps, seeing it on the telly and hearing about it… I have finally visited the area myself! Amazing patchy landscapes and moorland edged with reservoirs, woodlands and farmland. The sound of the beautiful calls of a Lapwing dancing in the sky above then dive bombing a Curlew who eventually makes a retreat. Amphibians getting...

My goodness, your dog has the best life!
Yes he’s always up for adventures! 😊
Amazing. I just want to jump in the video 🥰
Absolutely fabulous. May I ask what size the tarp is please. only I have the same tent looks a great option to the tent set up 😀
Thanks very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it. That little tent is great and a nice low profile but yes adding the tarp just gives you so much more options in bad weather. The tarp is 3m X 4.5m It's a True North tarp they're discontinued but sure you can find similar!
Beautiful video .

Hi Justin, it’s great to see you back into producing videos on wildlife and being in nature. Your work has this soothing and calming quality which I crave sometimes so during your hiatus I logged onto your website to get some energy from it. Great video work and natural transitions. Thank you for making me feel like I was there, too!
Hello and thank you! It's really nice to read your lovely comments and I'm happy that it gives that calm, soothing quality. I make these up as I go generally and try to keep it natural. Thank you for watching and for your lovely comments! :)

Fantastic film. Thank you. But back to nature in a plane.... . Hm.
Hi Justin, I'm lucky enough to live in Scotland. Absolutely loved this video. I have just started Kayaking as we wanted the ability to visit islands.
Fantastic James, getting a canoe has opened up so many opportunities and given me access to new places, one of my best investments! Enjoy exploring!
Where is that lake?
10 mins of joy 🤩
Thank you very much lovely compliment!
This is just lovely - every bit of it. Thank you.
What is the name of this loch
Absolutely beautiful. Wasn't the castle the other side of that island ?
Thanks Stephen, yes there is a small castle ruin just the other side of the island. Beautiful place I'd love to return to in the future.
I could watch that little muntjac all day, beautiful video!
