Hope they don't screw up the Pennywise history lessons 🤡
Love how the demon world also has kobini (?)! 🍫
My favorite Mary Poppins - Missy!
Continue reviewing and talking about Asian films; I greatly enjoy them
I enjoyed the first two sonic films in spite of not knowing too much of the storyline. Looking forward to seeing this one.
Piccolo is a very complex character that isn't paid attention to enough.
Hope all the universal monster films do get made again .
Enjoying your reviews on this entertaining series. Thanks!
This just sounds like such a confusing mess of a movie.
Super movie
The weirdest game so far is Catly. Don't even know what is going on with that 😲
that was a memorable fight with the gendarmerie; loved it😊
I find this series interesting and comforting. It not only gives you a flashback to all of dragonball but you also get vibes from Mario RPG, Zelda, etc.
Looking forward to seeing all the weirdness; even the sharks.....WHAT?!
Really like this show; like his development of characters we have seen for decades. Also Toriyama brought in a realm we never saw
Texas chainsaw massacre 1974 was made before Halloween 1978
Umm yeah...I said Texas Chainsaw was an influence on Halloween in the first 45 seconds of the video 🤣
Oh you don't know. Oki, well, it all started from a compilation of scary storied called "Samurai Horror Tales". It was, I believe the last scary story of the 3, and what's interesting here, is that the story is called "Goblin Cat". We'll get more into that a little later. A little fun fact, the OP in Samurai Horror Tales had rap sound to it, while the series has something quite different lol. Anyways, the tale, Bake Neko was recieved so well, that it actually got its own series, called Mononoke. Mononoke has 12 episodes, which comes to 5 stories. Mononoke is a mixture of horror, mystery, investigation, anticipation, chills and thrills, with a very wash, rinse repeat kind of premise to it. Each story will surprise you, so don't think that just because you can predict how it will end, that you'll ever guess how it got there. Mononoke is a VERY dialogue heavy anime, just like Katanagatari. The way I see each story of Mononoke like a flower blooming. It starts off closed, but as it opens up, you see the many intricacies within its nature, each with it's own look and fragrance. It's just beautiful, from the script, visuals. It is a very complex piece of fiction. In order to understand a lot of it, you have to have some background on Japanese culture, or you'll find yourself lost while watching it. Now back to the Bake Neko. It's quite poetic. The Samurai Horror Tales version of Mononoke had the "Cat Goblin", and the end of the Mononoke is yet again, a "Cat Goblin". I'd also say there's other weird things about it that make you scratch your head in confusion, but I'll leave that up to you discover. Mononoke is one of the most interesting animes around if you like dialogue heavy animes. This series is all about showing, and not telling...something completely backwards from what's encouraged when writing. You'll definitely have to rewatch some of these episodes to fully understand them. This show is brutal, and it hold no punches. It will make your feel awkward and uncomfortable. I like Mononoke because it reminds of Mushi Shi, and Mushi Shi (season 1) is one of my all time favorite animes. I give high praise to this series. I am curious as to why they changed his face paint though...The kitsune face paint made a lot more sense as I believe that's what the series was hinting at, but hopefully it has good reason for its change. I just read a review on this movie and it seems that they made the movie a lot more fast paced than the series...which kinda defeats the purpose of the show.....-sigh- Modern people always ruining things, thinking they know better...I guess we'll see.
...And how do you exit that fish?
I'm not sure if we want to know 😅
Hey! I just randomly ran into your channel/review. To me, this entire franchise feels like a tribute to zombie media: 1. Found footage movie. 2. Shooter game. 3. Low-budget, campy, over-the-top, 80s movies. 4. Overproduced zombie sequel. This weird mix/progression is what makes some people hate the movies, most of the time because they don’t get it, but it’s the reason why I love and appreciate them as a whole. I enjoyed your discussion of all those references and the fact that you could appreciate each of them even you were not the biggest fans of each and every one.
Thanks for watching! I love the first two movies, but I still enjoy 3 & 4 and I think they get a lot more hate than they deserve
Good point concerning aging between genders
Glad you guys can straighten out which terminator films were which because I run them together
I love the Gamera figure
I unfortunately missed the first movie. I really need to see both now
God@mn It That weird giuy was the Effin Nurse. Cheeziz Cripes WTFF! Oh yeah I am seeing a need to make am video.
Thanks for the review it looks like a good movie
You should pronounce it "Bo-Teen", not "Bot-ton".
Sounds like The Exorcist is chasing Flanagan
Sounds confusing and hard to follow; think I'll pass
That's probably the sane response...or you could give it an Emmy 🤣
I'm writing that my name is Josh and i'm writing that because Halloween Ends in 2022 was Jamie Lee Curtis's last Halloween film in the Halloween franchise then i believe that they should bring back Danielle Harris as Laurie Strode's daughter Jamie Lloyd in a brand new Halloween trilogy that would ignore Halloween 5 and Halloween 6 because then Jamie Lee Curtis and Danielle Harris would both be tied at seven Halloween films in the Halloween franchise. the third and final film in the new Halloween trilogy could be released in theatres in October 2028 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the Halloween film franchise.
Wolf Creek sounds interesting; glad to see joe bob continuing
I would have to see the finished product. Trailers at times are misleading as to what we get in the actual film. French version on Netflix could be a good version.
Thumbs up new subscribers here ⌚
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Wolf Man... not Wolfman. There's a difference guys.
nope. that's NOT a wolf man. THAT is someone that's lost from the movie " Wrong Turn" Period. Wolfman.....pfffft. More like wtf is that supposed to be. LOL
The trailer was exciting and it looks very good! With that said, there’s absolutely no way the Wolfman monster can look like what we’ve seen so far. There’s no way Leigh would sign off on that, right?! I was hoping for a design closer to the 2010 version. That one was so excellent! Hopefully we get a Creature from the Black Lagoon film soon!
I definitely agree with you about the 2010 one. Creature design aside, the trailer itself is quite good so I'm also hoping there's more to this than the design shown at Halloween Horror Nights. As for Creature from the Black Lagoon, James Wan is working on one so hopefully we get some update on that soon.
Yeesh...I get it, its hard to make an awsome Werewolf...very few films have even been able to capture the adreniline fueled eyes...like a Male Lion when they go in for a kill...plus adding in the unatural size musculature and fury...but Im kind of sick the mass laziness going into the disgn of werewolves
Don't throw out any old keyboards; you too can be Batman😼⌨
I think I'll follow your advice and watch the original Crow
Definitely the best choice
thanks for this review; I'll probably revisit the 2006 movie again.
Do they still have the glasses for 3D viewing?
Yep, I got a pair when I saw Deadpool & Wolverine
Good video; alien romulus is doing well over here.
Sorry about the audio quality on this one. My computer decided to use my camera as the default mic instead of my actual microphone 😂
Finally got around to watching this and glad you covered thie chapter to give context to it. I had a feeling some odd...proposal was going on based off visuals (no real context) in the latter half of ch 5. But it is unfortunate we haven't had any new updates since june. Side line, the gamera rebirth manga adaptation of the show itself FINALLY updated. 7 chapters that essentially adapted the entirety of episode 1. Last Tuesday (aug 13th) we got not one but two chapters. I'm assuming they adapt the early bits of episode 2 of season 1 (didn't read them yet) so...idk what took so long in between ch 7 back in april and now but glad we got it anyway.
Will russell crowe reprise his cardinal role in Kraven?🤔
I hope so. According to Mike Flanagan it is now a requirement to cast Russell Crowe as a priest in any exorcism movie. This should be a rule for all movies 😂
Looks like this could put MCU back on track.😺
Sounds like a fun film to watch
The short film sounds interesting.
Thanks for the review guys 🙏
Thanks for the movie! It was a lot of fun!
From what I understand, having watched the original tv series, Medicine Seller cleanses evil spirits often made by terrible events or suppressed and negative emotions. It's slow because it's meant to be a mystery anime. Medicine Seller must know the Truth, Regret, and the Form of the spirit in order to draw his sword of exorcism and exorcise the spirit. The Truth is often what the other characters are concealing as what was happening to make this demon. The Regret is what was the core instance or emotion that manifested this spirit to appear, and the Form is the type of Spirit. These spirits are all references to real life mythos. Whatever spirit you saw that caused discord in the story has real life folklore about it. It is a series that employs a lot of visual story telling without always spilling everything out. The art in the background has been known to convey themes of the overall story. While I get it's not everyone's cup of tea, the original series was an artistic masterpiece. The more you watch the same episodes the more you see of the truth that is stirring around in the background. It's always been an anthology where the story isn't really about the characters nor their development, but the mystery and the evil spirits themselves. For me it's like watching an old detective show. No one is changing for the better, it's about trying to figure out who is the cause of all this chaos, who created this spirit and what is it doing? The spirits themselves often enact some kind of revenge for something that has wronged them. Sorry for my ramble.
No need to apologize. This was a very informative comment and really makes me want to check out the series. Thanks!
@@courageourfrights No problem. If you are genuinely curious, I suggest watching the Goblin Cat arch first. Mononoke made its debut in a series called Ayakashi: Samurai Horror Tales. Goblin Cat is the last three episodes and is what made it successful to start its own series in the first place. It's also my favorite arch of the series. Be warned that Mononoke often covers some really controversial topics. It doesn't tend to play it safe with its stories, but that is part of the charm, I suppose.
