Beautiful car! Considering that the 454 didn’t come out till 1970, do you know if it was originally a 396 or possibly the 427?
Our understanding is it was an original 396 L78. With a lot of these older cars at some stage the engines are replaced and in this case they certainly put in something that absolutely slams you back in the seat.
I turned 18 in 1974. Back then you could buy a car like this for $1500 to $2K. I and all my friends had cool '60s muscle cars. Sure miss those days.
Yes I think a lot of us older humans had some really awesome cars back in the day. If we only knew back then what we know now. :)

What's the last four digits of the VIN on the Pace Car? I can't wait to see an update for all three.
We are waiting for the collector to get the cars ready to bring back. He has been working long hours on them. I hope we can collect the cars again in a couple of weeks. We are also going to film a bonus feature, he has several more in another location....very exciting stuff.
