Don't you guys carry knives, I work in Electronics, I wonder what a hyperbright flash would do to a shark, Hyperbright means you could get a much more intense blindfng flash, from a LED than you could running the Led continuously. There would be an after image that would affect it's vision for several minutes, same thing as if you stare at a very bright light, or are hit with a laser. Would an intense flash scare off the shark (s), would it allow time for divers to escape, would temporarily impaired vision deter a shark.

I'll never understand why that music is used in shark clips. It doesn't work. I makes the entire piece look cheap...You are using music from a film that basically trash-talked sharks & succeeded in giving them a terrible rep...

Good job this team did, didn't know those lights will make the swim away what are they called i would like to get one, I am new on diving and we went on open ocean and they were 5 white tips we were 10 on our group so what we did is stick together and looked bigger they swam away after that, but definitely white tips and bull sharks are very unpredictable you always have to be cautious even if they look """passive or curious""" they are very random on personality and will attack no matter what if you are not careful

It is pathological that so many people reflexively try to reinterpret aggressive behavior of animals into something sympathetic and natural (curiosity) and thus not threatening to humans. Reality is: The divers in this video had strong nerves and were very experienced - that's the only reason nothing bad happened... Reality is: The whitetip oceanic is a deep-sea predatory fish with absolutely no empathy for humans - if it can eat us it will, and then it will swim on without a second thought to its last meal.

I’ll dive with a knife, a poke to warn it, if not…. He’s getting a 14 inch serrated blade through the snout! Love sharks but it’s either him or your arm or leg!

as someone terrified of sharks never been in the water with one never will i hope.but sharks try to teach humans to leave them alone.but we are to stupid to learn. hence occasional leg or arm removed just as a reminder.i does love watching anything to do with sharks.

I just saw 1 aggressive animal - that were the humans. Stupid divers!!!

Never get horizontal in the water with these Whitetips. They are more aggressive than bullsharks because of the lack of prey in great expanses of deep water. They kill first and ask questions later. See USS Indianapolis/WW2

This actually looks like pretty friendly behavior for a shark. No species of shark, including Oceanic White Tips, hunts humans. They get a reputation for doing so because of what happened to the USS Indianapolis, but those conditions involved incredibly rough and low-visibility with lots of struggling sailors. She had no desire to attack anyone here.

Hä? Where was this aggressive? It's a typical curios behavior of sharks... You could easily push him careful away. The most aggressive thing in that video was the "Jaws"-music that is - together with that film - responsible for people hunting and killing sharks 😢

Pectoral fins indicate a warning to the divers. Possibly territorial. In my opinion.

If an Oceanic White Tip Shark behave like that .. hit him on the face/nose they’re very aggressive and more than likely will bite you.

Oceanic white tip sharks sure are Bold and are clearly quick to take advantage of a vulnerable diver

All aggressive sharks need to be culled or at the very least taught to fear humans.
