Hmmm that'll take a bit of theory crafting since earth magic can prevent damage but there's not a way to set the auto battle to just use that skill on boss fights. Best bet is Iugo and Reyna in the frontline taunting and defend/covering and another frontliner like Nowa/Wayve/Elektra AOE-ing or single targeting.

I agree to an extent. The low tiers are just miserable to try and use unless you slap a Water Rune on them. I think Yusuke is very playable throughout the main game, but better options become available. But he's the better option up until a certain point. The lack of dexterity and speed late game is hard to make up for with his rune options though.

@@zutchkorr3056 I personally speaking don't care about which character is high tier or low tier to me its which one i like the most so for example Francesca(i might spell her name wrong) to me is an great healer even after others join up with you and that is mostly because of 1 thing every character have: an good or interesting personality that makes them unique and different from others.

Agreed! I think maxing out her weapon has a lot to do with making up for her lack in strength. They made some weird choices with the weapon stats. Everyone in Suikoden was fairly even in terms of weapon attack by the time they're maxed out. Eiyuden on the other hand is either +40 or +80 for the general consensus.

@@zutchkorr3056 yeah a lot of weird choices on runes. more characters could've been viable like sabine and most mages. But not only they hampered them in rune slots but also in stat growth, making them not fun to play with.

@@arcangel879 I was really hoping it would get patched but that's A LOT of characters to go through. All in all, great game but making half the cast not that great is a bummer.

@@ryannace5880 biggest thing with Mio is getting the right rune set up. Then she rips 1500-4000 damage with normal attacks and her Iaido Strike. CJ is really good but I couldn't get her to higher damage limits compared to others.

I think it just depends on the stats you're pooling into. Whether you want dexterity or strength, but even then you can swap to quality and do both. Great katanas have been doing well from the sounds of it, so I'll eventually give the build a playthrough eventually.

Sorry but Yusuke falls off at the end/post game. Defending for 2 turns to do 1000 damage isn't optimal at all. Mio can do more than that in a single turn, making her DPS significantly higher at that point. I never wanted to peel Yusuke from my party but accepted that he was no longer a hard carry like he was the first 2/3 of the game.

That's kinda why lol I was using taunters tongue and and hosting invader vs invader duels and this one guy already saw me emoting and the other dude was gonna kill me but he saved me with a parry from hell . So he was rewarded handsomely lol. I have a few different meta lvl builds for the meta.

@@NeoLotex for Momo, you'll want to recruit Dijkstra to get both the Mage's Path and Pinnacle runes in the area that unlocks. From there you'll just want to find another magic rune with spells for him and boost the magic stat with high/arcane magic boosting runes. Endless Mode is the best place to grind for arcane, at that point in the game you should be able to buy the high magic runes.

@@zutchkorr3056 The Biggest challenge is figuring out Rune/Gear setups for all the other characters. With no items the big thing is no MP restore, Momo and Isha run out of MP super quickly, and while Momo has quite a strong regular attack due to it being based on her magic stat, I find myself wanting to save her actual magic for floor 26 and 52. I also need water runes in addition to holy runes as I can't use items for healing. My last run died at level 30 when too many of my squishy, but high-attack characters died and I didn't have any healing left. Figuring out the best builds for the characters that need to come in and out along the way is definitely my biggest challenge at this point.

The balancing in Eiyuden is absurd, haha. At least Nowa and Iugo are fairly consistent.

Yes, I put her in the front with both Warrior's Runes. That's why her physical attack/skill is so high.

@@zutchkorr3056 I have her at level 60 now and she is just over 200 hp and both def/magic def are really low, she gets 1 shotted a lot for me, and I haven't equipped her with Rune of Warrior's path yet, since I haven't been able to find any, that would half her defense, how do you keep her alive?
