They have a really great song too called Dover Beach. I wish you could teach me the lead on that. I'd give you a tip on patreon or paypal for your trouble! Thanks!
I'll check it out, maybe today.
please stop pulling that ending intro "G" note so sharp.

Good job. I’ve always thought this solo was inspired by the melody from Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Anybody hear it?
Correction. Not inspired. But reminiscent
Thanks
Clickbait worked. Haha
Thanks so much for this lesson. I've been playing guitar for many years but by no means a virtuoso. I play in a retro rock band and can solo all day for a standard 1,4,5 but have always struggled to come up with anything creative for 1,6,4,5 progressions so this is very helpful as it would have taken me hours to figure this out on my own. . Thanks again!
@@alcoc4201 Thanks for listening. FYI , I also have a short lesson on Sweet Sweet Smile, another 1,6,4,5.
You're doing a wonderful job young man and you helping a lot of people out and I just wanted to say thank you very much I want you to know how much we appreciate you out here keep up the good work God bless.... Tim in the Blue ridge mountains of Virginia
@@tima1929 Thanks Tim, I’m glad you liked it!
If I knew this video would get this many views, I would have done a better job. Of course I don’t know how. This video was made before I had my loop pedal or editing software. I met Willie Nelson a long time ago. He was in Kansas City, eating at one of the Casinos. I recognized him and said, “Hi Willie” and he said, “Hi”.
What a load of crap video.
Was expecting a lesson from Cindy Crawford but got Biden instead. JK. Great lesson!
Thanks for watching, my next one will be better, more AI. And I don’t sing!
wtf 😁
Wait until you see my next video I’m working on, you’ll give two WTFs.
2:34 Thanks Glen. Truly excellent.
THANK U GLENN!!!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE THISSS
I've been looking for a lesson on the song "Want You" for years!!! Thank you !!! Excellent !!!
My pleasure!, I’m glad you like it!
Also check out Ricus Nel, Deon van der Merwe, Dylan Emslie, Hansie Roodt, Leslie Moller and who knows who else for more Afrikaner "kitaar" players who rock. There are so many who are super players it is impossible to list them all.
Click bait, jokes, lesson. Entertaining
Excellent! Thank you
Thanks for listening.
Thanks for a great lesson!
Thanks a million. Great song.
Thanks for listening
You even know the words it seems. Looks like you're singing along while playing.
I don’t know words, just kind of mouthing out the notes to myself, thanks for listening.
I like you're video Glen. Playing the konsertina myself, I also "missed" class many times while present in the classroom just like these youngsters in the link th-cam.com/video/UzX48v3zeac/w-d-xo.html. It's so wonderful to see young people being so good at what they do. No one can play the konsertina like the boere, and no one can play the pedal steel guitar and dobro like the Americans. I just love you all. Boere musiek and Country is tops.
Thanks for listening and for your comment.
Thanks for a great lesson
ha ha ha ons het spel klas geskiep
Love this! Love your playing. Thanks for showing me.
Thanks for listening!
Great lesson! This is very helpful. Thanks
Thanks for listening, Doug!
I've been playing since 1964, and I completely understand and appreciate your comment about being a "beginner." Like you, I'm better than I was when I first learned Dylans' version of Don't Think Twice (for me it was in the early 70's), been playing it finger style since then. I really like this version and thank you for your efforts to help seasoned "beginners" become better players.
Thanks for your comment!
Also, nice guitar you’re holding. I got mine about a year ago and I love it!
Great job! I hope more folks discover your channel.👍😃🎸
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Glenn really helped 👍
I’m glad you listened to it!
Thank you, Glen. I've been trying to play this from Willie's Songbook and have been having a hard time, You made it a whole lot easier to work with. Your sharing your time and sharing your knowledge is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your kind words.
Excellent

Great to you at Guitar Center!
Thanks for the comment, sorry I took so long to get back to you. It was fun at Guitar Center.
Hi, Glen. This is a pretty good solo, thank you for the lesson!
Thanks, this is one that I did before I got my looper pedal. Someday I may redo it. Thanks for your comment!
No fool kitaar is afrikaans for guitar
Very funny start cool video brother
Thank you, I’m glad you watched it!
Hey thank you! Glad I found you! I live in Kansas City near the Nelson Atkins ❤️
Cool, I just subscribed to your channel.
Glen, you've made a South African of Boer Voortrekker ( forward puller is the literal translation but actually means Pioneer) descent's heart warm like the snare on my kitaar. and I am a bluegrass picker on my kitaar and there are elements of the style in the boere musical genre. It's actually a form of country which is very popular in the Afrikaans community. Our Bluegrass band The Motled Crew has held many a barndance ( opskop or upkick) in the country areas where the traditional 2 step (Skokie or stocky literally) and the reels, waltzes, square dances and contra dances resemble the American dances as they share similiar European roots. Let's not forget the polka as well. Another great kitaaris or guitarist is Wiam Otto whom I've had the great privilege of performing with. Please would you be so kind as to share more of this beautiful music and your philosophy with us. Craig Martens , The, Mottled Crew and The Bandits kitaaris.
Thanks for your kind comments and the additional information. I plan on doing more. Thanks again.
I expected a Boer Oom to have this but its just an American Bty its not hot strings its warm strings
Warm stings then it is. Thanks

Hey, I hope you got a great nap Keith, thanks!
Aw, you missed it. There was a slow spot from 4:00 to 4:20, after that it was thilling.
Great job! Learned some tricks here that I can use. Great video! Thank you sir!
Thanks for your kind comment, Beast !
I agree. A lot of folks might not persist because it takes so long to get there but it is worth it. Thanks Glen.
hahahaha .... after having a pretty poor day this cheered me up no end. Great lesson too. Thank you so very much.
Thanks for your comment, I hope your day goes better. Remember, Rule #1 Don’t sweat the small stuff, and Rule #2 It’s all small stuff.
Hello from Grandview, Missouri. Great picking.
Thanks for your kind comment, John!
@@picknbluesglendavis8609 is this an all mahogany Taylor? I thought that since I had the song down now I would watch again and enjoy even more than before.
@@johnwashburn3793 Yeah, that’s what it is. I like Taylors, I also have a Taylor T5z that I play a lot. I’m glad you liked the video. Thanks for your comments.
That is our Afrikaans word for guitar so its not that the spelling is incorrect but boeremusiek is our traditional Afrikaans folk music. Its luterally translates to farmer music haha
I don’t know a lot about SA, but probably more than most Americans. Long time ago I read Michener’s book “The Covenant”. Much has changed since that book was written. Anyway I do watch a lot of the guitar players on TH-cam and greatly enjoy the music. Thanks for your comment.
Good effort Glen.Well done 👍👍
Thank you!

Hi Glen, it's a cold rainy day here in Northern Ireland, so happy i visited your site , enjoyed the story and the blues lesson. Thank you man.
Hey, thanks for watching. I’m glad you liked it. Keep dry today.
Great picking, Glen! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for subscribing John.
While you may be one of the worst pickers on the Internet, you are indeed better than 99% of the general population, and you sounded good on this classic song.
