Shared your stuff in my X page, do you have a twitter?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! My twitter account is @Jaredfeuring
Just found your channel man, I love it. Been a giant godzilla fan since I was 3 and watched Kong vs Godzilla
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! This was a tough project to pull off (in real time it almost killed me cause I was doing 1 per day haha) but I'm glad it can resonate with other Godzilla fans!
So sad you had to re-upload so many of these
Ah so sorry if it keeps popping up on your feed! I'm getting hit with copyright strikes more than a month after posting, but hopefully it's good now. I wanted to be able to showcase at least some footage but at the end of the day if they strike me it has to be redone with still images to stay up.
I've got so much nostalgia for this movie. I watched the old VHS so many times as a kid. I've got that American version memorized in my brain; every sound, line, and music cue. I would even argue that some things in the American cut are better edited and paced than in the Japanese cut.
I like the American cut a lot, it's my preferred way to watch for sure. I just wish they didn't overuse that piece of music from "Creature From The Black Lagoon".
Thanks for your videos. really enjoy them. but i cant see Godzilla vs GIgan 😒
You can't see it as in you have nowhere to watch it, or you can't find my video on it? I had to reupload that one so it might be showing up out of order but if you look at the playlist it should be in it's correct spot.
@@FireRingProductions Ah it was there indeed but out of order. thanks mate!
Watched Minus-1 last night (Halloween 2024) at the theater and wow, even thou I own the DVDs, watching Godzilla on the big screen with the sound was well worth my time and money. I would encourage those to see what might be the last chance to watch Minus-1 on the big screen.
That's one of the things not talked much about with Minus one is the incredible sound design. That opening scene on the island hits different in the theatre!
I liked this movie a lot more on the rewatch. I did think it was super boring the first time around.
I personally love it, I know it's not for everyone. One of my best friend's whose a big movie buff was pretty bored by it. So I know Shin is an acquired taste.
These were all really fun reviews, great job. Nice way to end them.
Thank you so much for the support! It was a long go of it, but I'm happy to have made it!
I have only seen a couple pieces of this one and found then cute and funny. It truly is a love fest for Godzilla. Thank you for all these reviews, loved them.
Thank you so much for watching and for all the comments and interaction! It's been a fun month, I wanted to end it with something Halloween appropriate!
I really liked this one, it is still a Showa era movies but a godd showa era one. On par with MechaGodzilla showa era movies. For once, Legendary did not have rhe human part of the movie detract from the story. Thae humans are just there to put the pieces together and explain what is going on. I really liked the pacing and the fights scenes and it is a reasonable counter balance to Minus One.
It makes me really sad that Adam Wingard isn't coming back for the next one, because as a director (like I say in the video), he understood the assignment. Great concepts, beautiful movies, very much authentic Godzilla movie spirit.
Please do one episode on PACIFIC RIM.
Lol MAYBE
Thank you for your reviews of the Godzilla movies. I really enjoyed them and looked forward to each new episode.
Thank you so much for watching! It was tough doing 36 videos in a month but I'm glad people are enjoying them, that makes it all worth it!
I agree with you I don't like this Godzilla suit at all they should have done a better job on the suit the the other monster design is like cgi the movie is not that good movie how come they bring back the cybot Godzilla from the 80s it's way better than this Godzilla suit and the movie sucks
It's near the bottom for me for sure. The only saving grace for me is that Orga is kind of cool.
I heard everyone said Godzilla minus one is the best Godzilla i had not seen the movie in theaters but I have heard that it's coming out in November 1st 2024 70 anversary the suit is awesome when he has all his fins in his back and his atomic breath is strong and powerful this Godzilla is a remake of the original gojira they show Godzilla picks up the train with his mouth and i see he use his atomic breath and his fins in his back glows and his atomic breath was powerful but I have heard that the movie was the best and I hear Godzilla minus one is the winner of the academy award for best picture
It's not exactly a remake but it has a lot of easter eggs and throwbacks. Minus One is a 10/10 film. This is the one for people who think they don't like Godzilla
This by far the best Godzilla film sice the original. It even puts Shin Godzilla in its place. There are so many reference to other Godzilla movie but done correctly not lihe Final Wars. The two islands are from the first two movies, the regenerating heart is from GMK, the regeration is from 2K, the reporter scene is almost word for word from the original. Shikashima's fighter is an actual WWII fighter, that never saw combat but impressed every pilit that ever flew it and only two exist today. The damage we see in Tokyo is the result of the most horrorific file bombing attack in human history. All the ships used are actual Japanese warships that survived the second world war. The fight scene between Godzilla and the Heavy Cruiser Takoa is simply amazing. The historical accuracy is amazing, better then many so called historically accurate movies. This not just a grea monster movie, it iis a great movie!
Agree 100%. What a masterpiece of filmmaking, this is the one you show people who think they don't like Godzilla.
This is a good remake/reimagining of King Kong vs Godzilla and over all a really good movie. It is still a showa era style Godzilla movie and the fight scenes are great. It really shows that Legendary knows Kong way better then Godzilla. Legendary's Godzilla is stuck in the shwa era while Kong continues to grow as a character
I understand if people are a little sour that this and the next one are really Kong movies more, but dammit, I love what they're doing with Kong!
@@FireRingProductions I do too. Legendary is doing great with Kong, if only they could match it with Gozilla
you skipped over the anime trilogy.
Indeed I did, mostly because I don't like them at all. I hate the animation style, and although there are a few cool things about them (King Ghidorah design, Godzilla Earth) in general I find them to really bore me. But most importantly they didn't have any sort of theatrical or (to my knowledge) home video release. They're essentially Netflix exclusives. So for all those reasons I chose not to do videos on them. But you're right, they do exist lol
This movie Godzilla vs Kong it's a rematch or a remake of the original King Kong vs Godzilla 1962 it's not like the original version but it's actually different from the 1962 king Kong vs Godzilla I know that you are a big Godzilla fan and you like this movie but you know a lot people don't because they made Godzilla and Kong look different
I love this one, I'm a big fan of how they're handling Kong, and the Godzilla design in this looks so good during close ups!
This is a great movie I saw this one i thought Godzilla final wars was the last movie this Godzilla design is different they got Godzilla looks like a cat with the ears straight up and the doral fins are ok but the suit is different his eyes are darker but All the monsters are cgi i don't like the CGI but I like the animatronic better but the movie was great but to much CGI
This is my second favourite design of Godzilla in the Millennium era, right after GMK!
Super happy about the opinions on this movie. I pretty much entirely agree. Even tho I enjoy your content even when I don’t agree.
Thank you so much, I love this one. I don't understand the hate it gets
While I like this movie, it do not love it. It is good but not great. Like the other legendary movies, it just feels like a Showa movie on steroids. I likes the new looks for Gidorha, Mothra and Rhodan, but again they were good but not great. It seems to me that they had money to throw at it so they did. The human story seemed contrived to me but was not the worst they have done. I admit, I expected more from this movie, especially after Kong on Skull Island, that it just did not deliver
I agree the story is not nearly as good as Skull Island, but I love the Showa aspects of this one. I absolutely love how they handled Rodan and Ghidorah.
I Can never get over the dolls being used for people during Gigan’s attack 😂
Love it. Classic Showa
This movie here is not like the original 1954 Godzilla movie the Godzilla suit don't look like the original one the monster in this movie was something like the other movie I saw in Godzilla vs gigan but the fight scene was pretty cool but i know that you really don't like the movie but it's not like the original version Godzilla raise again it's totally different
Completely different tone, I really don't like the story here. I do like Anguirus though!
You left out one of the best plot elements in the battle sequence where during the fight the Godzilla bones/DNA "memory" triggers a takeover of Kiryu's computer and weapons control systems. That memory hit causes the mecha to rampage throughout the city instead of continuing to battle Godzilla.
I had a whole thing about Kiryu going "out of control" but I ended up having to cut it for time. Very cool story element that unfortunately I ended up rambling about haha. But I love that part because it also comes back similarly in Godzilla vs Kong
This is the movie Irwin Allen always wanted to make. The perfect mix of horror, diaster and bureaucratic failure. The criticism of goverment ineffectiveness is as good as in the original Gojira and is the first Godzilla movie since Gojira that is truely its equal. It is truly worthy of Ishiro Honda's masterpiece. I saw it in a packed theater where we cheered throughout.
Absolutely love Shin Gojira, it's a shame that there's a large audience that isn't interested in the bureaucratic angle because it's written and delivered so expertly.
Godzilla 2014 is, in part, unwatchable. Not that it ia bad its just so dark it is unwatchable. Other then that, it is a good throwback to the Showa Godzilla films. With one great scene when Godzilla gives the Muto that special kiss.
After Cranston is gone, it falls so flat story wise for me. Do love the Godzilla scenes though.
I love this movie I am a huge Godzilla fan just like you are but this movie is great the 1954 Godzilla and the American cut with Raymond Burr Godzilla king of the monster was totally the same but that had Raymond Burr in it but the movie was great 👍 I just realized that a new Godzilla is coming out in November 1 2024 Godzilla minus one
Minus One is actually getting a re-release in November, it came out last year! Great film! And I love the original!
I hear a lot of people say that this Godzilla was a great film I never seen the movie but the suit is like a CGI the way he stands up tall and the way he change
They actual did an animatronic suit of Shin, but most of that footage was not used in the final film. I'm a big fan of Shin!
Terror of mega Godzilla was a great movie to it was similar to Godzilla vs mega Godzilla and Godzilla vs cosmic monster but it was a great film
Love me some Titanosaurus
@@FireRingProductions my favorite Godzilla movie I see that you a huge Godzilla fan
Godzilla vs megagodzilla from 1974 it's a good movie to this is the best Godzilla movie in 1974 Godzilla vs megagodzilla the music when that lady was singing for king Caesar was wonderful I love her singing and the music score was great but I just don't like blood scene I just don't like to see Godzilla bleeding but I love the movie it was good
The musical score in this one is probably my favourite of the Showa Era
@@FireRingProductions this is the best music score you can get but it only thing I would like to ask you do you know where you can find Godzilla 1985 music soundtrack
@@maricedixion3357 I don't, I don't know if it ever got a release because just like the movie itself it's probably tied up with a bunch of release rights issues :(
Godzilla vs meglalon i like this one to with the robot jet Jaguar was helping Godzilla to fight meglalon and gigan from Godzilla vs gigan in 1972 previous movie it was funny to see Godzilla drop kicks meglalon i love this movie and Godzilla vs gigan in 1972 this movie came out in 1973 so this was a good movie and the end of movie Godzilla shakes jet jaguar hand to congratulate him for the help of beating megalon and gigan the music score was fantastic l love that movie
The drop kick is legendary!
Godzilla versus the sea monster is a good movie to i watch this one way back then the Godzilla suit was great but it was too big for actor inside the suit the crab monster known as the sea monster was Big like a giant but the movie was great i like this one and the music score was good
A big favourite of mine.
Son of Godzilla was a great film but it was like a little kids film the Godzilla suit was not like everyone expected I thought maybe they should have made the Godzilla suit little bit better but it doesn't resemble like the Godzilla suit from Godzilla vs gigan it was a lot different I love this movie when Godzilla was trying to teach his son baby Godzilla how to fight and how to use his atomic breath
I'm ok with the more family oriented approach for this one. Still scared of Kumonga though
Destroy all monsters i like this one it kinda reminds me of Godzilla on monster Island known as Godzilla vs gigan i love that one too this was a great movie in the 60 and the 70s and the music score was great
More Gorosaurus is always a good thing!
I'm a huge fan of this movie, but I will quickly admit that I love slop.
I think it can be summed up easily as "awful movie, but can be fun to watch in the right settings" haha
@@FireRingProductions so true. Excellent party or “kick back” movie
A lot of people do not like this movie because it's not a good movie for the audience to see and the 1998 Godzilla is kinda reminds me of Jurassic Park when I first saw the movie I thought it would be the guy in the rubber suit but it's not it's a American Godzilla CGI movie
I understand people's issues with it, and that's fine. But people act like it's a horrible piece of garbage and there are so many well done things about it in my opinion (obviously since that's all I scream about this review)
@@FireRingProductions my sister loves this movie I don't know why but she likes it to me it's not a good movie I no that you a huge Godzilla fan but I think I like the guy in the rubber suit better
CGI is horrible I've just got a DVD of Godzilla vs Kong and Godzilla king of the monster the new American Godzilla it's sucks I should never brought the movie I think the Japanese version is better than the American Godzilla the only thing I like is the rubber suit of Godzilla animatronic ones were better this Godzilla movie the man in the rubber suit is better this movie is great I like this one better than the new American Godzilla CGI
Love the Heisei suit. The CGI for the android running scene in this is hilarious. I love this one
This by far the worst of one Mellinial movies. I had such high hopes for it. With a 20 million budget and some good previews I saw on line it looked good. The problem was there was just too much going on,it lacked focus and an overall story Arch. It was more like how many things can we reference and how much of the matrix can we rip off. It was just one massive incoherent mess for me.
You nailed it. The redeeming factors are like I said, it's so silly and over the top that if you kind of half watch it for a few of the scenes it can be worth a viewing. But as a movie overall it's a train wreck.
I actually liked this one better the it's predisessor. What did it for me was the addition of Mothra. I really liked that part of the movie. The battle scenes were better also. It just kinda worked for me
I think the story is a little less compelling, but I do like the Mothra angle story wise. It's still a lot of fun. I wish we got some closure on that post-credit cliffhanger though...
I definitely thought the same thing about the turtle being a dog at Gamera
Whether it was intentional or not, I think most people that know Gamera would at least draw a bit of comparison.
The dead turtle is actually Kamoebas, from Space Amoeba (1970)
I have seen Space Amoeba, but I only remember the squid-like monster haha. The name made me think it may have been another Toho property, but even with all of that, I still can't help but feel like it's a little dig at Gamera, because it looks so much like the modern trilogy design. But that might just be me projecting.
My favorite movie!
Kiryu Goji has a different suit from 2000 and Megaguirus.
I believe it is actually the same suit with some colour changes and some minor animatronics changes to the head and slightly smaller fins. That's basically all I can find on it, and that it's more green. If you've read something different I'm definitely open to being wrong.
@@FireRingProductions makes sense. Really the face was all I was thinking was super different aside from the color
I didn’t love how the setup for there main human character was pretty much the exact same as in Megaguirus.
You're absolutely right. I do think it works better here, but only because she does get to pilot Kiryu lol
This was a step down from GMK, but not a big one. It's very good but has some weird plot twists and it's playing around with the idea of genetic memory is interesting. The Pilot story is above the norm for Godzilla movies. It is a fun movie over all
This movie is probably the most like Ultraman in terms of plot and execution (almost every series of Ultraman is about a pilot joining a defense force to fight kaiju), and even the production kind of looks like the 2000's Ultraman series in colour palette and tone. But I'm totally fine with that, I love Ultraman lol
I would recommend anyone who likes this movie or has an interest in behind the scenes of Godzilla to pick a book by Norman England called: Behind the Kaiju Curtain. The book chronicles the entire making of GMK from preproduction to premiere.
Thank you so much for the suggestion, I had never heard of that book. Added to my book list, that looks awesome.
By far the best of the Mellinial series. The story is great, especially having Godzilla being the embodiment of Japan's war victims. The human characters are not unforgettable and the father/daughter relation is as an accent for the story rather then an excuse. The final fight is epic abd the plot twist at the end was soo good it has already been reused
It was an extremely pleasant rewatch, I loved basically everything about it. I wish some of the end battle CGI was a bit more polished, but what can you do, the movie is nearly 24 years old. The practical effects look amazing, love the Godzilla design.
