I'll tell yall what!!! You know a pro when you see clean hands and the confidence to use that shit over pavers! --come on man warn them to cover everything around them, you know someone's never done this and going to get sht everywhere--you're a fking pro making it look easy af
Please understand I'm not trying to be rude but nothing here was done right, yes you have to use base coat and mesh, you have to stir your finish up, you have to use a stealess steel trail or plastic float to get correct texture and omg you must cover the entire ground with tarpaper two rolls wide to prevent a major mess. It pains me to see this kind of thing sorry guys
You would think he would use a magnesium trowel and own a hawk to catch the drips. Plus no treated fiberglass mesh. I don’t get it, just naked concrete board? What happens to the edges and side boards? Confused and dismayed.
Nice looking panel. However did not cover the pavers. You would not be allowed to continue working on my job site if you don’t know this very basic, but very important rule.
i just wwatched it again.. totally cringe. holding his hand under it at first to catch the drips cuz he has half a bucket of finish poured out in a big fkin mess. jesus christ hang your tools up
this is a back yard kitchen table??? stucco has a pretty rough finish any food will stain it easily won't it? what is that tool called that cuts off the cement board at the beginning?

You don’t know nothing about stucco
I hope this was done for a relative or good friend for free. What an absolute train wreck.

I won't lie, I was freaking this old school didn't cover it up, use gloves or even worry about those pavers, idk maybe that's confidence

very hard to watch.

Hard to watch honestly.
Wrong. Suppose to put primus or a base coat over the mesh and seams. Never finish coat directly over mesh. Not approved. Stick to grills bud
It takes 2 minute to lay down plastic or black paper so you don’t have to worry about dropping it on the paver stones
Agreed, plastic is a good idea. If this stuff dries it is very difficult to remove
Great job!!
Any Dryvit video you ever watch, the first thing they tell you is to mix the bucket for 2 minutes minimum.
This is not the table top…. They are going to turn it over on it’s side once it sets up.
Correct

I would hope a person would be able to keep food off the sides of the cabinet. The tool is called a metal sheers.
No primus or mesh?
He would have to be a professional to use primus/mesh/cornerbead. He didn't even bother mixing the finish. He's all about grills.
The mesh was applied to every joint and corner. The primus, in our experience, is not needed. If you feel the need to apply it, by all means, do it.
