Yes. The design of this car is relatively traditional and practical.

This car is expected to cost what the cheapest taycan without any options costs, but the performance may exceed the taycan with options up to twice its price. beauty and ugliness are personal considerations, but this car is never going to be sold in less than 1,000 units.

Who told you that the Taycan is "struggling to sell". It's not a Toyota or a Tesla so their sales numbers are lower because their cars cost a lot more due to their being a luxury brand. Their sales have done reasonably well in USA and Europe. For Lotus, the main concern given the price point and it's their first generation EV for the Emeya, is overall reliability which remains to be seen. The fewer bugs the Emeya has out of the box, the better chances it will be a success.
