Here we dive into the timely and timeless messages shared in conferences on a weekly basis. If you're someone seeking a deeper understanding of conference talks and yearning to hear the messages tailored just for you, then you've come to the right place. Our podcast aims to reach listeners who are eager to explore the insights and inspiration found within these talks.
We will remind listeners of this in each episode but it is important that they access the talk we are covering in its entirity either before the podcast or after. We always want the impressions you receive to be based on what you heard from the source, not from us. We are just here to open the conversation and make conference more than just one of the two best weekends of the year.
So join us as we embark on this journey of spiritual growth and discovery together.

Why is pride a “spiritual poison” and “deadly spiritual disease”?
What has the Book of Mormon taught you about humility?
What made the Lamanites a “righteous people” while the Nephites become “grossly wicked” (Helaman 6:1-2)?
How might prosperity lead to pride and then from pride to apostasy?
What “small and simple things” can protect us from pride?

What did He do for you? Tell me your testimony.
This prophets message is pointing to Jesus Christ so when you ask what “He” has done for me I think you are asking of my testimony of Jesus Christ which I am excited to share with you! My Savior has set the perfect example for me and when it look at His life, it has helped me navigate difficult relationships. The Savior felt heartache so when life seems unfair, I know that He understands that part too More than anyone. And He went about doing good, His entire life- so as I consider what things are most valuable to spend my time doing, I have always been able to consider His example as a standard. Some would argue that there is no such man that ever walked the earth and they find answers to life’s most vexing questions in other ways but I am grateful beyond words to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He has been with me and helped me to find great joy in this life and of these things I testify in His name, even Jesus Christ.
😂😂😂😂😂
I thought from personal exp. you were going to say. "find him at the end"
The “end” meaning death? I love this because I hope you have felt Jesus in the best times and the hardest and there isn’t a need to wait until death to feel His presence in our lives. There are many things we can do that point us to Him. My time in His holy temple has been one such way is have learned the purpose of our time on earth and received answers to difficult questions.
@@CloserToChristThroughGeneralCo I have never felt Jesus, not sure if I am too dark for this. I like to worship him with song and I can see him fulfill things in my life, like food when I have none or clothes out of thin air. you know meeting needs. but never have I felt anything. I am confused when people say they feel something. the mormon say like a burning in your bosom. never felt that
@ I think it’s amazing you say you feel something with music. That is exactly where I learned to feel the spirit. Sometimes it’s the notes but more often it’s the message in the words. I hope you feel good about that being a great place to start. If it’s something your desire to feel more of, continue to seek out music that gives you that special feeling. Then in your everyday life, other things will touch you in that same way because you have learned to recognize and harness the spirit (or some people call it the light of Christ) in your life. I also really really love that you mentioned gratitude for the basic necessities of life. I just saw another person saying that a sure testimony of Jesus Christ begins with GRATITUDE! It might not interest you but maybe you will find something useful from the podcast my friend and I do under this name.
Thank you for sharing the resource for helping teach Relief Society Lessons from the Church News.
We link in the show notes but if you go directly to Church News, they have them or are releasing every day a new one.
Thank you 🙏🏽
@@Servant_of_1111 thanks for listening!
Very difficult and hurtful talk for so many. I think you two are a bit tone deaf on how much this stings for women who do not have these earthly blessings.
@@lorigreen4134 I appreciate your comment. I will certainly listen back to what was said but I know if I point you back to the talk itself, the message that was meant for you will be in those words. I will tell you personally why this talk resonated with me- I am blessed to be a mother but 2 of my children were born with a chronic medical condition and a promise of a harder, shorter life. Taking a celestial lenses at situation has softened the disappointment. I don’t think anything I would say in this exchange is going to change anything for you but it doesn’t change the testimony that I have that all blessings are and will be available to covenant makers and keepers so I can only imagine the joy you will experience in contrast to the pain you currently feel when those blessings do become yours because of our Savior. You are entitled to your opinion about being tone deaf but rest assured, I have my own disappointments and very well understand that the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the only thing that brings me the comfort I need.
Thank you guys for your thoughts! I'm preparing a sacrament talk and you gave me so much light on how to approach this amazing and yet deep talk. Greetings from Brazil :)
