ETHOS X with fastEX 24 eT enviro workflow for determination of organi pollutants for sVOC analysis
The ETHOS X operation is simple: samples are loaded into large volume disposable glass vials (1) with appropriate solvent mixture (2), placed into the vessel (3) and sealed (4). The unique vessel design, in combination with the accurate temperature control, enables extraction of different matrices simultaneously, which enhances the lab's workflow. The accurate contactless temperature sensor ensures full control of the extraction cycle in all positions and displays real-time the temperature of all samples on the dedicated user interface. The 100-mL glass disposable vials accommodate large sample amounts of up to 30 g, enabling lower detection limits with minimal solvent volume. In addition, the memory effects often observed with other technologies are eliminated, expediting even trace analysis of challenging species such as dioxins.
Typical applications of microwave-assisted solvent extraction include chlorinated pesticides, semi-volatile organics, PAHs, PCBs, chlorinated herbicides, phenols, organophosphorus pesticides, dioxins and furans.

    At the minute 1:15, I really like the background. I like that the video is filled with a green idea and I like the supposed use of microwaves in order to preserve the health of our planet. I just don't quite understand if there is a future for such technology. As for me, these projects are taken by scientists who understand in advance that such an idea is a failure and simply raise their salaries.

    I found that hydrocarbon extractions can make high quality terps all you need is to distill the "sauce " and still make thca so you decarb it and make 99% thc oil no wipe film distillation needed

However, as the use of butane and/or propane solvents is essential to the process, terpenes recovery requires additional clean-up steps that cause terpenes to be partially purged and lost. Microwave terpene extraction offers cannabis processors the unique ability to capture all pivotal live terpenes from fresh flowers, enabling them to develop strain-specific, targeted, and functional high-quality consumer products. Materials processed through microwave extraction at this point already contain decarboxylated cannabinoids. It is possible to then dry the material and run through any cannabinoid extraction protocol without negatively impacting the cannabinoid molecules.       @@MilestoneHelpingChemists yes I agree with your statement but the simple benefits of having the option to make thca or thc dust making it less superior microwave will decarboxylate the thca to thc making it harder to distill high thc in the 98%+ also you need a distillation set up where the thca only need to be decarb on a hot plate I had terps from your microwave and have noticed tints of yellow or some color where the ones from the short path are clear all the time can you compare the terps and see the difference between the two

    Super cool learning about mercury analysis whole about on my study of impinger, Sherer equipment. My case that brought me hear is to have a nice flat bottom graduated cylinder gas bubbler. After 5 hours of searching equipment, I learned impinger equipment and injection bubbler for Mercury analysis. Must have traveled somewhere into the future by now, because this water equipment that became the foreruy after basic study equipment is amazing!

    do you have an idea what to do when the blank value is too high ? even with autoblank, the blank does not get lower - instead it gets higher until theres an error message that the extinction is too high and then he stops completely. (ive run like 100 blank runs by now) i wonder what causes the signal - it cant be water, i dont see any condensation in the tubes, it cant be mercury, im not even running a standard or sample yet plus the catalyst and amalgamator were replaced with new ones recently but then what else could be the reason? could it be that the detector or cuvette is damaged somehow? does that mean the system/furnace is contaminated ? with dust or something ? and if so, how to clean it? any tips ?
